This entire escapade is political theater to make shift the blame for high energy prices and hyper inflation from those responsible to a commie boogieman. The left is trying to force the “incredible transition” to the new improved carbonless economy without paying the price. All they need to do this is a distraction.

Putin is more than willing to play his part as the villain because he and Russia are raking in more money for the role than anyone else in this giant charade. Whatever losses they are taking with men and equipment is a drop in the bucket compared to the massive increase in the amount of money they are now taking in, and they are able to blame any hardships their people might not be happy about on the "West". How convenient.
