I like DA Gascon. I hope he stays. That way he can continue to punish the people of LA who fully deserve it.
This ruling basically means little. It really means that DA Gascon will just do whatever he wants but shut up about it.
He can continue the practice, firing those who do not follow his orders. The court has no power to punish him - punishment is an executive function.
He has prosecutorial immunity. No duty under the law. Not that he can’t commit a crime, but failure to uphold the office is not a crime.

I’m with you Matt. They voted for him. They deserve him. They knew what he was when they elected him. Let them enjoy him.
