The US and UK who are con-guarantors of Ukraine’s sovereignty under the Budapest Memorandum of 1994, should have been sending heavy weapons to Ukraine starting in 2014 after Russia took over Crimea and started its invasion of Don Bas.
The problem is that we all thought Putin would keep up his salami tactics, a slice here, a slice there. We all would just shrug our shoulders and do nothing, ignoring it.
But Putin pushed too far, and got this.
If he had just grabbed Donetsk people’s Republic and Luhansk people’s Republic in frb, no one would have done anything. Then Zelensky would have been voted out and a year or so down the line another slice.

The US and the UK dropped the ball by not forcing Kiev to follow the Minsk Accord of 2014. That is the problem.
