Rice just wants Trump to admit it, thereby forcing Trump onto an apology tour. Then, Rice and other establishment Republicans will have ammunition to attack Trump.

Trump planned a “Stop the Steal” rally. It was infiltrated by ANTIFA/Occupy types disguised as Trump supporters. They started the violence, commencing before Trump had finished speaking and exhorting his listeners to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard. A few Trump people did get angry enough to join in and should be held accountable. But most of those currently held as political prisoners were simply present at the Capitol and did no harm.
