Hi, Kathy! ((hugs)) I hope you have a lovely Lord’s Day, too

I wondered if you were having issues when I didn’t see you posting tunes. I know it’s got to be very frustrating! Hope things are fixed soon.

Hey there, radu!

Well, luckily he mowed before the rain, so he can wait a few more days before doing it again. It sure made things greener, for sure! And the very air smells cleaner. Not as full of dust. Of course, it’s a bit more humid, so I sweat more, but hey! I’m not complaining. Yet. LOL!

As hot as it’s going to be, it’s a good thing he CAN wait to mow again. Whew!!

I’ll bet all the plant life looks better right now. Got a good drink this week and the dust was washed off the leaves.

I do hope the humidity drops quickly before the heat blast hits. It’ll be dangerous for all the birds and critters outside otherwise.

Hubby finally mowed our yard last evening and it looks so much better now. The seed stems were almost as tall as the corn. LOL

Yeah, he needs a little break from the last mowing. I’m sure it’ll be a bit more humid, but the heat will evaporate the moisture quickly. I’ll be keeping an eye on the kitties’ water and such.

I’ll bet your hubby was sure glad to have that chore done. LOL! He would have had to have a combine if it were much higher.

Good evening, radu, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.

Busy, busy with haircut and then a couple timed errands and then to the office to print a single check and get it to the post office. I printed it from home, but when I got there, it was on paper, not check stock. I was hoping to not have to even turn my computer on, just fold the check, add postage, and head to the post office. I’m hoping a repair guy was there on Friday and got the check printer fixed and put in paper to test it.

2 weeks ago Thursday I reported, and a request was put in with IT, to get it serviced as there were a couple dark roller lines running down the checks. This past Thursday the lines were darker and now there was a third. Only printing one today wasn’t enough to tell if it’s fixed. So turn on the computer and reprint the check. Then back to the front desk and put postage on it. Half a dozen new pieces of mail...might as well do them now as wait til Thursday.

No deck time, but tomorrow for sure. Sun has been coming and going all day, but it is still plenty warm...above 70 right now.

He might get a longer break than planned due to the heat you have in store. He certainly doesn’t need to be out there mowing in that!
Have some extra ice cubes on hand in case they’re needed for the kitties’ water.

I don’t know if Hubby’s happy but I am. The yard looked awful. Now the yard at the other house needs mowing because it’s shaggy, as is the field between the house and the woods.
Mowing is a never-ending thing here since he mows a little at a time. At the rate gas prices are going up, it’s all going to be shaggy most of the time this summer. The tractor uses quite a bit of gas.

We always have ice cubes for hubby’s drinks. No worries...those kitties are always on my mind.

I don’t dare tell him not to go out to mow in the heat. He sees that as a challenge. LOL! I’ll bet your hubby crashed and burned after mowing that acreage! :)

Well drat. If not for having to go by the office, it sounds like it would have been a fairly easy day. I gather the check printed well enough when you did it again on the correct paper.

The sun was in and out here, too, and it felt good when the clouds covered it. It wasn’t too hot but hot enough the sun was a little uncomfortable when beating down on me when I took a couple of brief breaks and went outside.

Your 70s sound pretty good to us down here. LOL

I hope nothing comes up tomorrow to keep you from getting some time on the deck, relaxing and hanging out with the ducks.

Take it as a challenge, huh? Well maybe you should insist he mows so he’ll balk at it since you told him TO do it. LOL

No, Hubby didn’t crash and burn. We don’t have a push mower. He drives the tractor, pulling the big mower behind it. He just mowed this yard and it didn’t take all that long. He also did it in the evening when it was cooler. He almost always mows in the evening and if he’s feeling industrious, he’ll mow into the night. He wasn’t feeling industrious last evening because he’d been working at the garage for a while.

He never mows the entire place all at one time.

Well, I guess if he mowed it all at once, he’d be underfoot more. Keep to the plan. LOL! I just hope my hubby can wait a while to water. Luck had it, he’d just finished the entire yard when it rained. sigh

Guess I’ll finish this show and then head out. Haven’t been sleeping well, so I should try...try...to get a head start.

I hope you had lots of interesting guests at the museum this week. You’ll have to tell all. Or maybe you have, and I haven’t scrolled back to see it. :) See ya tomorrow!

If he mowed it all at once, he wouldn’t be able to move for a few days. The tractor isn’t exactly a comfy ride and doesn’t have power steering. If ol’ “Uncle Arthur Itis” isn’t cranky, he can pull off mowing maybe half but that’s rare these days.

Watering the lawn works almost as well as washing and waxing a car to make it rain. LOL
With the watering followed by the rain you got this week, it might well be a little while before watering is needed again. That would be nice on the bank account. I’m still amazed at how much you pay for water. Ouch!

It was a good weekend at the museum. Not quite as busy as last Saturday but steady. Not so much interesting but a lot of fun people came through.

I hope you can get a good night’s sleep tonight. That alarm clock will be in danger if not. LOL

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

How’s your weekend going so far? Decent weather for your outings at the lake? You and Gizmo having to fight crowds?

So far it's going OK. I did some ivy removal work on the fence yesterday.

I also cut some limbss above the fence

And we had a great visit to Comanche Lake also.

Looks like it was a pretty day, similar to ours with those puffy white clouds.
Also looks like it was a bit on the toasty side. But despite his panting, Gizmo looked happy with the day.

I hope you did the yard work early in the morning while it was still a little cool. That’s some heavy work.

I did the work in the morning as a matter of fact. It hasn’t been all that hot the past couple of days. I’ve got to get ready to do some mowing though as the grass is growing in some place though.

Good Morning!

The weather has been awesome, and Tippy and I are out every morning, hiking, training, etc.

I may have to hire a professional trainer though, to teach her NOT to chase eveything that moves.

Got some biking and yad sales in too, but it’s mostly Tippy-Time right now.
