The shadowy cabal running President Joe Biden’s brain put him in front of a microphone again on Thursday night and Joey Amtrak showcased the one skill he has left: lying to the American public. This time it was about guns, a subject upon which the Democrats have been prevaricating since at least the Civil War.
Democrats repeatedly lament that Republicans won’t work with them on “common sense” gun legislation, which is mostly true, and for very good reasons.
First, the Democrats’ arguments for stricter gun laws generally proceed from false premises. Like this one that my Townhall colleague Katie Pavlich wrote about on Thursday:
Speaking from the East Room of the White House Thursday night – shortly before jetting off to the beach in Delaware for the weekend – President Joe Biden tripled down on his calls for a ban on semi-automatic rifles and repeated the false claim a previous ban from 1994-2004 reduced mass shootings.
Biden also insisted that the gun industry has some kind of special immunity from legal action against it, which is the opposite of what the reality is.
You can see why it’s nigh on impossible to have a conversation with them about “common sense” anything.

If your guns have shot someone, why should you give them up? Sounds like you actually need them if that’s the case.

Hold it right there, buddy, let’s take a look at that thing. Hmm...no pistol grip, no muzzle device, no bayonet lug. Looks like it isn’t an assault weapon.
No one seems to have answered the question how an 18 shooter in Uvalde TX got the money, $5,000+ by most estimates, needed to purchase those guns. Apparently he passed a background check, but you would think that a legitimate media would be asking those questions as well as seeking a copy of his firearm application and background check. Buying a firearm is not like the media would have us believe just plunking down the money and walking out armed.
The Nazis thought the Final Solution was just common sense. Democrats always begin with the presumption that what they believe is always indisputably true, regardless of how they got there. It’s a position that renders compromise absolutely impossible.
Along with the entire police force including the FBI waiting like they were all at a BBQ while kids were getting murdered. To many of these same scenarios are synonymous with school shootings now. Lying, covering up and then I have no comment don’t ask anymore. Im hoping these pukes are tortured for the rest of their lives with the children they helped murder
A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.
