Ukraine backtracks on promise to US.... despite assurances US weapons won’t be used to hit Russian territory.

Responding to a question about whether the restrictions on the use of US-supplied rocket systems apply to Crimea, a peninsula that overwhelmingly voted to become part of Russia in a 2014 referendum, 'Arestovich' (Zelnsky's Top Advisor) said that it belonged to Ukraine.

“Crimea is ours. It belongs to Ukraine. And they [Russia] know it. Therefore, it will fly to Crimea double-time, should the need arise”,

Arestovich’s comment comes despite US Secretary of State Antony Blinken saying on Wednesday that Kiev has given Washington “assurances” that it won’t use American rockets to attack targets in Russia.

The first attack clearly attributable to Ukraine from a US weapon, and on Russian territory, will result in a European conflagration.

I read a HIMARS costs about 6 million each. A box of rockets (6) cost about a million per box.

That is exactly what you are saying in your posts.

Your article and post 21 argue that Crimea, with its population of Crimean Tatars etc replaced by Russians has the right to break away.

That means you support parts of Texas joining Mexico.

The referendum was

1. After Russian special ops occupied Crimea
2. After the dissenting Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars were chased away.
3. After Soviet era population replacement bussing in Russians and bussing out native Ceimean Tatars, Greeks, Ukrainians etc.

Nope, facts.

The USA is far less corrupt than Russia.

The USA is at #22 in the worldwide corruption index.

Russia is at 136.

Comparing corruption between the USA and Russia is like comparing poverty between the USA and Mali

I realize you like a platform to express how you see the situation, history etc. in Ukraine. However you see the history does not correlate with the facts as I and others see it. But then those differences are exactly why Ukraine will always be a failed nation, in conflicts, and as corrupt as it's known to be. And Ukraine will always blame Russia for their issues.

No matter how many times the world leaders have propped up Ukraine it remains a failed state...and it will be so in the future. Clearly it's History shows this...time and time again.

Nope caw, you are posting falsehoods.

Crimea is de jure part of Ukraine.

Russia sent in troops, chased out dissenters and had a referendum.

As per transparency international, Ukraine is corrupt and ranked 122.

Russia is even more corrupt, ranked at 136.

Russia is a failed state, it has had a dictator for 22 years who sanctioned the robbing of its Poland enrichment of oligarchs

The U.S. and NATO admit they’ve been lying about what is actually taking place on the ground in Ukraine.

Hey..

If you had a choice, and had to vote, and there was but two to vote for, only two.

Who would you vote for? Putin or Biden?

You were looking at it as an individual investment which is probably right by what they are telling us. I was referring to the contract cost to build them under the basic investment.

“In 2019, Lockheed Martin was awarded a $492 Million Contract for High Mobility Artillery Rocket System Launchers and related equipment.”

We would probably meet somewhere in the middle but that’s what uncle sugar is saying the cost the taxpayer is paying for the product whether they build one or one hundred. That, of course, includes dealer prep, port fees, but not destination charge. That’s extra. And knowing how the money handlers for the citizens are manipulated, and they want to get re-elected, that’s probably low.

I would abstain from voting.

But why do you want Putin to become your President?

Figures.
Can never get a straight answer from someone who has no idea what they stand for.

I would vote for Putin way before I would vote for pig faced son of a bitch Biden.
At least I would know where Putin stands.
