“Surrender monkeys gotta surrender.”

That’s the kinda that s*#t got them into trouble TWICE in 50 years!

We had to pull their chestnuts out of the fire both times! 😠

How French!

Yes, the Japanese should have been allowed to save face at the end of WW2. Same with Hitler, he should not have been driven to commit suicide at the end of the war. </sarcasm>

Seriously, just like Saddam Hussein, Putin should be convicted of crimes and if found guilty hanged by the neck until dead.

Why Kiev? Kiev is the father of all Russian cities. They’d opt for Berlin and Paris instead.

the real question is how do you end the war without setting the stage for the next war.

most of the world has no trouble trading with russia even now.

this is going to hurt the US much more than it hurts russia. stealing their dollar and euro reserves will end the dollar’s reserve currency status, already is.

thing is, I am not sure he is going to lose face at all.

i do think the US is going to keep poking, bragging about active ops against russia, and providing increasingly provocative weapons to ukraine until russia openly attacks western targets.

the US wants russia to provide a pretext to go to direct public hostilities. the US needs a war to distract and mold its own internal economic collapse and impending political takeover by the stalinists (the administration)

russia likely was well aware of the degree of US military integration with ukraine’s military and that was one of the issues they had decided to put a stop to (or accept the US a few hundred miles from moscow)

look at us bragging that we basically ran the air defences from day one. how long had that integration been going on?

and we get a glimpse of how a short-sighted document like the treaty of versailles could ever occur, just reading things here.

sure. a decade is a long time. putin will be gone, lots of things can happen. I am much more worried about the current war, our involvement in it, and reasons why our political class desperately needs a major war right now.

do you think WE will have a country we recognize in a decade? we (you and I and everyone here) are in far more acute danger than the average russian is, imo.

Yeah, I can recall Biden bragging how he had gone toe to toe with Putin. But based on how Biden blames Putin for crashing our economy, looks to me like Biden has lost that battle.
