Sometime before this war, I spent time following a young Russian couple’s (the Sheekoz) vlog.

I was struck by their affordable lifestyle. The rambles through a town of 14k showed a normal-looking, clean city with amenities for families, many small shops, lots of Japanese cars, well-stocked grocery stores with food prices and wide selections, malls full of people and goods. Rents and utilities were low. Affordable middle-income housing and even the really expensive homes were privately owned and not exorbitant. Good, strong families. The wife’s family has a small rural farm and the young adults travel there to help out with planting & harvest and Fall preservation.

I was struck also with how authentic Dan & Suzie are. She loves to sew and is not made-up like a movie star dressed in low cut tops and wearing heels in her normal day-to-day. He watches old American movies to learn English and they do not eat fast food or buy junk food, although it was as ubiquitous as it is here. They have a toddler. Enjoyable way to observe life in Russia today.

There are some thieves everywhere but generally Ukrainians are much more honest than Russians. Ukrainians have handsome men and beautiful women and the Russians ... Not so much. I’ve traveled in Russia and in Ukraine.

Russians will be tormented and harassed as long as they stay. They will be driven out just like everyone else from a country that wants to survive.

Oh, wait, something must be wrong, because everyone that persecuted Russians in South Ossetia is now dead or in Prison including the operatives that held political office in Georgia, and the ones who fled to Ukraine.

Of course there is a difference between Georgia and Ukraine, THIS time the Russians are really angry.

Interesting observation, I lived and worked in Moscow for years training Ivan’s,
I would have to say anywhere that the east meets the west ( Poland for example) has very attractive woman, however we all know true “ beauty “ is best explained viewing one’s heart.
