BTGs do not exist in the RGF. They use the conventional Army, Division, Brigade, Battalion, Company structure. This structure has been ongoing since 2012 and is not fully changed over from the Brigade structure adopted after 1998.
If you see BTG referred to in an article you can be assured that the information used dates back at least 10 or more years, since Sergei propose the idea of BTGs and was immediately overruled by the RGF command structure.
BTGs only work for small scale conflicts and are stupid and useless in big wars.

Pizdobol, Russia’s unending ineptitude in this war is bordering on legendary. They supposedly claim superpower status status yet they run into a military that’s not even 10% of the power they claim and the Ukrainians are absolutely fighting them to a standstill.
And it absolutely matters that the Ukrainians are also getting support from the rest of the world world while Russia cannot get military support from any of its erstwhile allies including Belarus.
Putin has failed Russia in so many ways with this vainglorious war of his. He set out to try to contain NATO and what’s the result? He made NATO get bigger and stronger. Sweden, Finland, and perhaps Austria are now joining the alliance and Switzerland is now integrating with NATO.
Before the end of this decade Russia will no longer posess functional nuclear weapons. That is an inescapable and mathematical certainty since the disaster at the Mayak weapons plant in 2017. What happens when Russia is no longer feared and it has no friends?
Ukraine will retake Crimea. Japan will retake the Kuriles and Sakhalin. China will retake Siberia. Finland will retake their lost territories. It will be payback time for the Soviet Empire. Before the end of this century Russia will become little more than a rump state and you will be an old man who will get drunk and and rant about the glories of the Russia of old.
No one will fear Russia and the history books will remember Russia and Putin as some of the worst failures of the 21st century.

Ukrainian cities lie in ruin and the Russians advance steadily from the east yet we're told by corporate media talking heads - and idiots that cannot spell 'Russian' - that Russia is losing. Don't believe you're lying eyes.
