Two high-ranking Russian officers have been caught blasting Moscow’s failures in Ukraine and railing against military leadership, according to a new report.
Two high-ranking Russian military officers have been caught shit-talking Kremlin leadership in unimaginably colorful language. The two colonels blast the defense minister and lash out at that Vladimir Putin for his poor strategy in Ukraine, according to a leaked recording of a phone conversation.
While Western and Ukrainian intelligence agencies have routinely reported on plunging morale among rank-and-file Russian troops fighting in Ukraine, many of whom have been heard complaining of dysfunction in intercepted communications, the latest audio appears to be the first to expose frustrations among high-ranking officers.
Radio Free Europe’s Ukrainian service published the curse-laden recording late Monday, reporting that it was provided by Ukrainian intelligence. One of the men heard in the purported intercepted call—identified as Colonel Maksim Vlasov—is no stranger to the eight-year war in Ukraine’s Donbas. He has been wanted by Ukrainian authorities since 2018 for the 2015 shelling of Mariupol—an attack in which he previously implicated himself by carelessly blabbing about it by phone in an earlier intercepted phone call covered by Bellingcat.

As for the content of the purported intercepts, imagine if Quentin Taratino's characters spoke Russian and were talking about "professional disagreements" or "workplace issues" about their boss after work...
...and after a few drinks.
Interesting example of people stupid enough to get caught talking about stupid people.
The fun never stops with Ivan.
So much for their careers. I hope they won’t be murdered by Russian FSB. Maybe they should defect while they are able, if it is not too late.
The top general in Ukraine is an American spy. Someone ought to tell Putin.
Provided by Ukraine intelligence.... lol. So amateurish.
It could be real.
It could be great information warfare.
Impossible to tell.
“Two high-ranking Russian military officers have been caught shit-talking Kremlin leadership”
The use of “shit talking” is a give away that it is BS. imo
“provided by Ukrainian intelligence”
WOW! That’s even better than provided by the FBI! I totally 100% believe it now.
Russian communication, information and operational security has been poor since this war started.
As far as is publicly known they have not cleaned this up. Russian successes over the last two to three weeks
suggests they are improving on this.
If Russian colonels are really talking like this on what they know are insecure, interceptable communications,
it means they do not give a (comma) (take a guess) (pause to breath) anymore.
Daily Beast. Please, cut it out.
Can't know.
Given the uncertainties, the proclivity of Russian males for Vodka...
We simply cannot know.
“Given the uncertainties, the proclivity of Russian males for Vodka...”
“Given the uncertainties, the proclivity of American males for homosexual and transexual perversion...”

Please jump outside of your ingrained mental structures. Don’t be trapped by MSM brainwashed cliches.
Or, it means they did not know the communications was insecure and interceptable.
Or were too drunk to care.
Russians are notorious about not caring when drunk, and being drunk, often.
On the other side, they usually know just about every means of communications is monitored by the Russian State.
Wonder if these Colonels realize that if their voices have been previously recorded and if they speak on a radio or even a cell phone on a battlefield, with modern technology their location can be quickly pinpointed and ordnance can be brought directly on them.
I thought you were smarter than falling for clichés. Jeez. Talk about blind spots/sectors.
Everyone who I have talked to, who has been to Russia, has talked about it.
My sample is not very large, maybe half a dozen people with extensive Russian experience. But, it is 100%.
It is probably information warfare. I suspect that.
Because if even drunk colonels did this kind of stuff regularly, they would not survive as colonels long.
In response to the so-called article.
SO?
Read what Patton and Bradley said about the Brits after the big dust up during the war in Europe. And that wasnt the first time they had it up to their eyes with Brits and particularly, Montgomery.
The little son of a bi*ch went on his little fantasy in the fall of 44 (Market Garden) and got a hell of a lot of people killed AFTER the little son of a bi*ch was made aware of MAJOR German units in that area.
Then he walks/acts like the proud rooster after the battle of the bulge.
>>>MarkTwain, are you trying to convince me American society does not have a huge male homosexuality’s problem?
Everyone who I have talked to, who has been to America, has talked about it.”<<<
[And I provided links to the pro-homo USAF and pro-homo USMC. You just repeated a cliché.]
MarkTwain, you are smarter than this. Don’t automatically believe propaganda, like this:
“Russians Accused of Raping and Killing a 1-Year-Old Child, Says Ukraine official”
May 20, 2022
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/russians-accused-raping-killing-one-105735773.html
Because it can turn out to be just bullshit lies and propaganda, eagerly retransmitted as factual by the MSM.
(Sort of like 1917 MSM stories all over American about “German Huns” bayoneting Belgian babies for fun.)
Ukraine Official Fired Over Handling of Russian Sexual Assault Claims
5/31/22
A Ukrainian official has been relieved of her duties over her handling of reports detailing sexual assault allegations made against Russians in Ukraine.
On Tuesday, the Ukrainian parliament, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, removed Lyudmila Denisova, the parliament’s commissioner for human rights, from her post, according to Ukrainska Pravda. No new appointment has been made to fill the role.
The move to dismiss Denisova came after outrage about the wording used in public reports about alleged sexual assaults committed by Russians, as well as the alleged dissemination in those reports of unverified information. Despite accusations from Ukraine, the Kremlin has repeatedly denied that Russian soldiers have committed war crimes or sexual assaults during the invasion.
Last week, Ukrainian media outlets and journalists signed an open letter in which they requested that reports concerning rape and sexual assault be “published with caution,” particularly when involving children, according to an English translation of the letter.
The open letter also stated that “it is important to understand that sexual crimes during war are an instrument of genocide, an instrument of waging war without rules, but they cannot serve as illustrative material to inflame the emotions of the audience.”
The letter from the journalists indicated how reports from Denisova went into great detail about the alleged rape of children, some as young as 6 months old, by Russians.
The letter also criticized Denisova for including details of cases that the journalists said were unverified and asked her to “check the facts before publication” and “disclose only information for which there is sufficient evidence.”
The letter went on to say that the information put out by Denisova’s office is regarded as factual by the media, and is then used in articles and in speeches by public figures.
According to the online Ukrinform news platform, one member of the Ukrainian parliament, Pavlo Frolov, provided a number of reasons why Denisova was removed, including “the numerous details of ‘unnatural sexual offenses’ and child sexual abuses in the occupied territories, which were unsupported by evidence and only harmed Ukraine.”
Trent Telenko: "This map was direct messaged to me and was taken from a forum. It is a heat map of Russian SIM cards roaming Ukrainian cellphone networks. Logistics Thread🧵 This is symbolic of several things..."
On May 11, the Russian command order soldiers to forage for food off the land. That is a total logistics failure. The Russian soldiers knows their logistics are falling apart. Their replacements will only have a month's training. Russia is bringing T-62s out of storage.
Ukraine is getting NATO weapons and their mobilization has time to train soldiers, not cannon fodder. When fall or winter comes around, it is going to get very bad for Mother Russia very fast.
