First lady Jill Biden next week will help unveil a new postal stamp to honor former first lady Nancy Reagan, the White House announced Wednesday.
Jill Biden will host the event on Monday at the White House. She’ll be joined by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy; Fred Ryan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation; and Anne Peterson, who is Nancy Reagan’s niece.

Well, Jill, take a long look. There will not be one for you.
Since it’s gay pride month, maybe the Nancy Reagan event should be used to “just say no” to gay sex and avoid the monkeypox.
The tramp unveiling a stamp 🤪
The Reagan Library hosts NeverTrumpers, and even Michael Reagan came out against Trump.
Fake doctor needs to tell her slob son to ‘just say no’.
In future, I look forward to a Reagan $10 coin. After his second term, assuming it is as good or better than his first term, perhaps there will be a Trump $20 coin.
All in favor?
Self adhering I hope. I would NEVER lick a Nancy Pelosi stamp.
OOPS! I thought it was Pelosi not Nancy Reagan, my bad.
BUT the comment still stands that I would NEVER lick a Nancy Pelosi stamp.
You’d really be dizzy if you licked a Hunter Biden stamp.
Can we please just keep Dr Babysitter away from anything having to do with the Reagan legacy?? Might as well just hire Hinkley to do it; he’s free now.
Nancy Reagan . . . why? Perhaps because she brought the occult to the White House.
if she can keep joe from licking them all...
just say no
Dr. Jill’s hair will burst into flame.
It wasn't on purpose; the White House Historical Association has a set rotation for the ornaments of the presidents in order, many years behind. So while Trump was there, the ornaments were FDR, Truman, Eisenhower and Kennedy.
Assuming Biden finishes his term, he will have had LBJ, Nixon, Ford and Carter.
I would go for it if it was a state minted coin with high gold or silver purity, like the Canadian Maple Leaf.
I’m unaware of any states minting gold or silver coin as legal tender, but I’ve thought a lot about how to make it a successful go.
1) High purity, again like Maple Leaves, in sealed cases since pure gold is very soft and can be damaged by being held in the hand. Again, following the Canadian’s example, engraving both sides of the coins with laser holograms would both enhance their aesthetic beauty and provide authenticity.
2) Since publicly owned gold varies tremendously in purity, gold bought in for conversion to currency would need to be smelted to reach say, 99.9999% purity. The mint would also need to act as a bank to store both available and purchased coins in high security.
3) Unlike typical coinage, in which the face value is much lower than the metallic value, the face value of a state coin, redeemable in federal paper, should be much greater.
For example, right now an ounce of gold is roughly $2000. But its face value on a one ounce state coin might be $5000. Granted that is expensive for gold, but the cost for silver would be much more reasonable. Silver is about $22 an ounce, so a one ounce silver coin should be say, $50.
They already exist - folks just have to start using them
for transactions, and a critical mass of folks accept them.
I'm sure people will eagerly start accepting gold as
payment when federal reserve notes ain't worth squat.
Like this:
"Hey honey, I'm running to the grocery store.
I'm taking a couple million dollars.
I'm taking the large wheelbarrow. See ya later!"
Just make the assay packaging a wee bit smaller for convenience.
As of this second a gram of gold's price in US dollars is $59.71.
