Russia has lost another colonel in Ukraine as Vladimir Putin's top brass continues to suffer heavy casualties in his miscalculated invasion.
Lieutenant-colonel Zaur Dimayev, deputy commander of the 4th battalion of the Akhmat Kadyrov special forces regiment, was killed Tuesday by an artillery barrage in the Donbas region, Telegram channel Baza reported today.
Dimayev was riding in a military SUV through the village of Kamyshevakha, Luhansk province, when it was hit by a Ukrainian shell, according to the site - which is thought to have links to Russian intelligence.
It brings the total number of Russian colonels killed fighting to at least 49, though no official tally has been published by either Kyiv or Moscow.

Three Russian generals walks into a bar.
No wait, two Russian generals walks into a bar.

Ukrainian bartender: “F-cking snipers, they kill all the jokes.”
Why do Russian tanks have a “Z” on them?
It was originally a swastika, but the other half fell off due to crappy Russian maintenance.
Why do Russian sailors not take showers onboard their boats?
They prefer to wash up on the shore.
But he wins another town.
All I hear is OMG the Russians are losing X tanks!! X generals!! 50,000 troops! etc, and at the same time, Russia takes another town, with 12,000 Ukranians trapped, Ukranian troops retreating and surrendering.
Do you you think Putin or the Russian care about material or personnel losses? that’s Russian warfare.
The losses in Ukraine are a small price to pay for the Russia-China axis as it is occasioning the loss of much of America’s arsenal of advanced weapons in preparation for a Chines advance into the Pacific. At the same time China is suborning the island nations of the Pacific out to Samoa. The deals China is making military presence on those islands and Guam will be outflanked as will Australia and New Zealand. China-Russia is going large. War in the Pacific instantly cuts off our access to computer chips and to the materials to make them. We lose a generation of arms and navigation development shortly after hostilities begin.
Too bad it wasn’t kadyrov himself
Between TSMC and Intel we are building 4 or 5 chip fabs here right now. On US soil.
To be in production when?
The Arizona Fab: On Track for Q1 2024
TSMC, which for years has produced all of its chips using advanced fabrication processes exclusively in Taiwan, last year announced plans to build a $12 billion N5/N5P/N5A-capable (5 nm) fab in Arizona and recently started its construction. The move will significantly improve TSMC’s positions in the U.S. among customers that would prefer to produce chips in the country (i.e., those who serve government and military agencies) and will allow TSMC to diversify its manufacturing base.
The fab is set to start mass production of chips in the first quarter of 2024. Its initial manufacturing capacity will be about 20,000 300-mm wafer starts per month, which is a pretty small fab by TSMC’s standards. But even before construction started, unofficial sources began to indicate that TSMC was contemplating building additional fab modules to expand capacity of its manufacturing operations in the U.S.
At the conference call with financial analysts and investors the company officially confirmed that it was mulling expansion of its Arizona production capacity, but did not elaborate.
Does Biden know? /sarc
