Wow. It’s true then (I thought it was).
Another factor to show how ludicrous reparations are is slave ownership. A significant minority of slave owners of blacks were in fact blacks. I also know this to be a fact.
My son lived near Danville Virginia back in the early 2000s. Danville you will recall was the last Capitol of the south in the civil war after Richmond fell…it was brief. Anyway because of that they have a lot of the official ledgers in the museum. One of which was the accounting of slave owners. Listed by name, age, race..everything. I don’t remember the exact number but MANY were black men. I seem to remember in the hundreds.

British slave owners received compensation for their emancipated slaves but American slave owners never did.

I have very little Irish blood, but what little I do have was involved in the slave trade in Barbados. Lots of indentured servants Jamestown era also.

The number of current residents affected by these rare incidents has got to be in the tens or hundreds at best.
The vast majority of blacks in Cali came here after Emancipation of their own free will to get away from Jim Crow and work in the burgeoning auto and aerospace industries.
Those industries collapsed because of failed Dem policies that made it too expensive for manufacturing in Cali.
Once again, the Dems are to blame.
My family immigrated from Quebec in the late 1800’s to work in the sweatshop textile mills in New England. Poor, uneducated, non-English-speaking. They were treated like dirt by the mill owners.
