Twenty-one black White House staffers have either left or will reportedly leave their administrative posts amid a lack of mentorship and promotion chances.
In the midst of a competitive White House work environment, many black staffers have decided to leave their jobs because “mentorship is hard to come by and opportunity to move up the ranks of a tight-knit operation is exceptionally rare,” according to Politico.
The White House has historically been a competitive workplace, full of ambitious individuals looking to gain experience to turn into a lucrative job outside of the administration. But according to three black White House officials, the black employee exodus has resulted from a lack of promotion or no clear path to “help them be successful.”

Sounds like they are a bunch of whey crybabies that need someone to hold their hands. When they don’t have that, they quit.
I’d like to see the rates of black versus white people quitting.

So, can I hold $200 until I find another job or until I win my lawsuit against you? My lawyer, Rev. Dr. Al Sharpton will be in touch, and he told me he need $200 for retainers, but his teeth look pretty good to me. Maybe he means grills???

Its possible ‘22 could be a bigger blowout than I suspect.
There are approximately two thousand people who work in and “for” the White House. Some of those are career civil servants serving rotations, some are political appointees. Two thousand... give or take.
90% of what goes on for 90% of those approximately two thousand people is to get things ready for the top 100 people so they don’t look like idiots. Given the mental capacities of both the President and VP, one diminished because of age-related health issues, the other woefully unfit to even manage the register at a Foot Locker unsupervised, that’s extra challenging.
For most of the two thousand people, a tour in the White House is a launching pad for their career. They immediately have a item on their resume that gets noticed and if they are lucky, they made a few contacts that can open doors that nobody else among the hoi polloi would hope to have opened for them. Some stick around for a while because they can handle the sickening pace and drudgery. Imagine spending a fiscal quarter writing and rewriting a memo and waiting on signatures and editorial comments from people, each day trying to scheme to get that next draft in front of the next line on the chop list before they walk out of the office in the morning for their meetings.
Sure there’s the palace intrigue, and I’d bet this administration has even more of that than even the past two because neither the President nor VP really had loyal lieutenants upon election and loyalties are constantly being tested and challenged, but getting to dish the good gossip at Sunday brunch with your other govvie pals when you can barely afford rent and aren’t seeing that student loan forgiveness you thought you’d be standing in the Oval when it got signed showing up.
Twenty people leaving after the first 18 months is hardly unusual even under normal circumstances, actually seems a bit low to me. A lot of people burn out by 18 months, especially if those people were political appointees who had not practical skills to benefit the operations of the nation’s most important offices but were given do nothing thank you jobs for their year pounding pavement and setting up risers on the campaign trail.
You did a year, maybe a year and a half, you can fudge enough good “I was there” stories to be intriguing to any interviewer who wasn’t there, even if you never actually said more than two sentences in person to any person higher than the second assistant deputy secretary of Indian Affairs.
So why the story then? The Politico DC staff knows all of this intimately. Probably they decided to run a payoff story to plant for those staffers who leaked all sorts of garbage while on the inside as a buffer when their follow-on job managers realize how useless they actually are and what little they can actually contribute. That’s my guess.

We can tell these kids grew up, got affirmative action jobs at the White House and still get no respect from Biden despite his condescending remarks:

I guess some people have to get reality shoved in their faces to learn the truth, and that bitter truth is the white leftist doesn’t give two cents about blacks. They want their votes period! Elite white leftists could care less if blacks succeed and they sure as hell don’t want to give up or share political power with them either!
