Mucking around in foreign politics, engaging in corruption, organizing coups, supporting corrupt political NGOs, flooding weapons - all on Russia’s borders, was ultimately going get a response from Russia.
The West just can’t stop mucking about on some sort of lunatic Great Game.
Russia, as a state, is dying.
The Federation’s borders are indefensible, and they have a very short window of opportunity to reestablish the Russian empire/Soviet borders before they lose the demographic capability to do so.
The problem for Russia is; 1) they are international dickheads and have spent 3 centuries turning their neighbors against them. 2) They are choking on Ukraine, they have no hope of taking on the baltics, Poland, Romania/Moldova.
Moscow will make a nice potato patch.
