Jacob Albarado, an off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent, was one of the many officers who rushed to the scene of the Uvalde school massacre last week, in his case, after receiving a terrifying text from his wife.

Albarado was at a barbershop when he received harrowing messages from his wife Trisha about a gunman at Robb Elementary School, where she teaches fourth grade.

I did a quick FR search of the agent’s name, and could find nothing. So I believe his story hasn’t been posted here before. If it has, my apologies.

Anyway, below is an amazing snip from the article. Note that the barber did more to protect his community than did the entire Uvalde police force:

After receiving the text from his wife, “I looked for a gun, my barber said he had a gun, both of us raced over to the school and met up there.”

So police can get their families. Regular peons are maced and handcuffed for trying to do the same.

Leadership, courage and individual initiative matters. Contrast this man’s actions with the behavior of the affirmative action, politically well connected Beto O’Rourke donor police chief. either America has a meritocracy or the culture rots.

What did the barber do?

You must have missed this line:

“I looked for a gun, my barber said he had a gun, both of us raced over to the school and met up there.”

The Chief blocked his men from going in. He needs to be arrested convicted and hung if found guilty.

The barber went to the scene with his own shotgun, then gave it to the Border Patrol agent. The agent then entered the school building.

“What did the barber do?”

He gave the perp a haircut to clean him for the autopsy photos and funeral hone viewing.

Yes, indeed. As most folks know by now, Border Patrol agents entered the shooter’s room on their own, and killed the shooter. However, it’s not clear if Agent Albarado was one of them.

It is clear that he got a lot of children out of the building.

Just because you do not hear shooting, does not mean people are not dying for lack of attention.

Lives could have been saved if they had gone in quicker.

Much better to have armed staff, to react to the murderer, in the first 30 seconds to a minute.

Did I read everything right? I thought it was another man who actually took down the shooter?

Before posting, I did a quick Internet search. Agent Albarado definitely got many children out of the building, on his own initiative. But it’s unclear if he helped breach the room where the shooter was.

So if the Democrats get their way, would the barber providing his shotgun to someone else constituted an illegal transfer of a firearm?

“I looked for a gun, my barber said he had a gun, both of us raced over to the school and met up there.”

So, are they arresting, or at least canceling, the barber for possession of a gun?

I believe this story broke the day of the shooting or very soon thereafter. I am still amazed at all that we don’t know. Nobody seems to be talking at all.

Did anyone at the school get hurt/killed besides those in rooms 110/111?
Were there survivors from rooms 110/111?
How and when was the school/teachers notified about an armed shooter on campus?

These seem to me to be logical questions to be asked.

He raced to help. Unlike the local cops.
