Russia’s initial invasion of Ukraine was a story of blunders.
Moscow is now making steady progress in Donbas.
Russian troops advanced to within several kilometres of the road leading from the city of Bakhmut to Lysychansk and Severodonetsk.
The advance has made other Ukrainian positions untenable. Ukrainian forces pulled out of the town of Svitlodarsk, which until then constituted the south-eastern anchor of their foothold in Donbas.
“We couldn’t hold them there [anymore],” says Yuri, 58, the unit’s commander.
The amount of firepower hitting their positions further drives the disparity home.
“We were on the frontline last week,” Artyom says. “Every day, there are [Russian] helicopters. One came at us, just 600 metres away,” he says.
After weeks of intense combat, the casualties are adding up. “We simply don’t have the numbers to run and attack them,” says Yuri, not flinching from the boom of more mortars nearby. “We don’t have the [men] anymore.”
A recent story by the Washington Post featured several soldiers from further northeast on the Donbas front who had recently deserted their posts, feeling abandoned by their high command.
They described dire conditions, such as being left with one potato each per day to eat and having only four RPGs for a 15-man unit facing down Russian armour.
“We are being sent to a certain death,” said another volunteer fighter in Severodonetsk, whose entire unit was protesting about their situation.
On May 26, they captured the city of Lyman, storming it after weeks of reducing Ukrainian forces there with artillery fire.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed on May 23 that ‘between 50 and 100’ Ukrainian soldiers were being killed every day. His adviser went further, saying that Lysychansk and Severodonetsk were becoming ‘a new Mariupol’ and that Ukraine’s armed forces are ‘barely afloat.’

This is a Canadian journalist fairly close to the front lines, who regularly interviews combatants nearby and some recently returned from other areas.
Nuke Moscow
Bu-bu-bu-but how can this be??????
I thought all the grannies with Molotov cocktails and Javelins were killing all the Russian generals and the Russian army was collapsing.
This has got to be fake. I’ve seen the top gun of Ukraine shoot down 47 Migs in one sortie by himself. With the last shoot down, opening the canopy of his jet and shooting him with his sidearm.

Destroyed nationalists from the 63rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Nikolaev-Kherson direction⚡️
Once again, the Kiev corrupt government shows its disregard (they do not make any attempts to evacuate the bodies of the dead) and hide information about heavy losses from the public⚠️
P.S. The video shows only a small part of the destroyed nationalists, there are 90 bodies in total❗️
“… They described dire conditions, such as being left with one potato each per day to eat…”

Jeez… if the corrupt Zelensky and his corrupt minions were a little less greedy they could cut back on their caviar and afford to give their front line troops TWO POTATOES a day.
This story surprised me because I have been following that Canadian journalist on twitter. This is quite an about-face for him. He supports the Ukranians and had been featuring every possible positive thing for them in his past twitter blurbs.

Liberate Donbas from the Ukrainian occupiers.
Cabalists, deep staters, and gullible endless war supporters are hardest hit. Eat it Mark Levine.
What an intelligent response. 😂
Video at link of a brand new NLAW being unpackaged by Russians.
Thousands of these are also going to wind up on the black market everywhere for years and years, along with Stingers and other MANPADs we shipped to Ukraine.
When any European nation slides into civil war, all sides will have these to attack police stations, banks, etc.
We are sending more ATGMs and MANPADs to Russia than to Ukraine, albeit indirectly.
Ukrainians abandon them when they retreat. They are useless. The UAF troops are forced back by Russian artillery, ATGMs are too short-range to be worth hauling around.
This one is in full transportation packaging, so it was probably taken off of an intercepted resupply vehicle.

Tons already made it to the Middle East. Javelin is selling for $15k a pop.
We will see The Law of Unintended Consequences wreak havoc for years because these weapons will be owned by gangsters and warlords everywhere.
How many poor soldiers, having one of these stashed in a barn, will sell them to anybody for $10,000 cash? A lot, I'm thinking.
I'm also thinking future warlords are diverting entire truckloads to their own private warehouses already.
“After weeks of intense combat, the casualties are adding up. “We simply don’t have the numbers to run and attack them,” says Yuri, not flinching from the boom of more mortars nearby. “We don’t have the [men] anymore.””
Some neocon clowns here claimed that there is a 700,000 army of hardened warriors with the best Western weapons vs just 90,000 humiliated Russian conscripts of whom 30,000 are already died.
The precious, irreplaceable war commodity is not fancy, foreign weapons, it’s trained, proficient weapon system operators and Commander Comedy is sending them to their deaths by the hundreds every day. The NATO trained professionals are mostly gone and there aren’t even reserve troops in great numbers anymore. Whats out in Donbas are third round conscripts that have two weeks of training and few weapons. Contrast that with Russian forces which are battle hardened in urban warfare, covered by air power and thousands of experienced artillery troops from years in Chechnya and Syria. Russia has only tapped 20% of their professional forces, none of their reserves and no conscripts. Just trying to cushion the blow here…. it’s time to make friends with reality. You can guess who’s going to win this.
Daily Mail UK says otherwise...../s
What the hell is wrong with the Pentagon? I understand Biden is demented and that his advisors are pathetic, ignorant political hacks.
But, the Pentagon knows EXACTLY what is going to happen here. We will be seeing these weapons on our troops and likely even here brought in over our non-existing border on civilians in terrorist attacks.
THEY KNOW BETTER! And yet they quietly accommodate our demented mummy instead of, at least, speaking out about the dangers this policy is producing. We can’t even trust them anymore to “protect” the American people.
And they want to ship more advanced weapons to Ukraine.
You don’t love your family do you, nor your self?

Russian State TV Discusses How to ‘Destroy East and West Coasts of U.S.’
Gerrard Kaonga - 2h ago
ARussian politician discussed what the country would need to do to destroy the east and west coasts of the U.S. in a clip that has gone viral on social media.
Russian State TV discusses how to ‘destroy east coast of U.S.
While speaking on Russian state TV, Aleksey Zhuravlyov insisted Russia had the military capability to destroy America’s coasts and said that the U.S. was trying to “raise the stakes.”
The video has also gone viral on Twitter and been viewed over 550,000 times.
While the Russian politician makes his claims in the clip, an English translation can be seen running along the bottom of the page.
Newsweek was able to independently verify that the words accompanying the video match what is being said. However, it is unclear when the video was recorded.
“I will completely tell you that to destroy the entire east coast of the U.S. two Sarmat missiles are necessary and two missiles for the west coast,” Zhuravlyov said.
“Four missiles and there’ll be nothing left, they think the mushroom will be taller than a high rise, that mushroom will be visible from Mexico.
“Guys, you’re so funny what methods are they even using, they’re trying to raise the stakes, are we supposed to object to that?”
