Are we *selling* them arms? Or are we just giving them away for free? Plenty of wealthy people in Ukraine who could fund their own defense.

The US is providing arms to Ukraine under a Lend-Lease agreement. Chatter from some of my friends at the five side funny farm is the US wants to lease a naval base at Crimea which will allow the US a permanent presense in the Black Sea.
