As the war in Ukraine rages, Serbia's president announced that he has secured an "extremely favorable" natural gas deal with Russia during a telephone conversation Sunday with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has refused to explicitly condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Serbia has not joined Western sanctions against Moscow. Vucic, a former pro-Russian ultranationalist, claims that he wants to take Serbia into the European Union but has spent recent years cementing ties with Russia, a long-time ally.

“The free leader, free people, make decisions that are good for Serbia and do not accept orders” from the West, Vulin said.

How will Serbia get gas if surrounding countries shut off the pipeline?

Russia is funding its entire war effort easily with the high Biden oil prices.

After incinerating Serbian children, here's Albright, the patron Saint of the Neocon movement, trying to sell her book in Prague. She's screeching real good at 1:20 in the video. She didn't want to sign the books, only sell them for cash on the barrel head

The pipelines are underground and are a complex web. They are controlled by a network in which if one pipe to a particular country is shut down, then that affects the other pipelines as well.

What we need is an American leader who says we do not accept orders from Davos plutocrats.

The Dems falsely accused President Trump of being a Russian tool, but can never explain why he did the one thing that would hurt Putin most other than strategic bombing: opening up our wells and pipelines to drive down the worldwide price of oil and natural gas. Biden, on the other hand, blustered about Putin and then gave him a huge inaugural gift of higher oil prices by killing pipelines and drilling.

America’s Benevolent Bombing of Serbia by Jim Bovard | Aug 20, 2019

Interesting to note that Putin is using our "humanitarian bombing" of Serbia as pretext for his invasion of Ukraine.

Serbia has had close ties with Russia going back to 1914. Austria-Hungary’s threats to invade Serbia after the assassination of their archduke drew Russia into the conflict on Serbia’s side. Whereupon Germany entered on Austria-Hungary’s side, and France on Russia’s. Then some other nations picked sides, and within six weeks, World War One was on.

American leaders used to be better mannered than the crass men and women who wield power in Europe and Asia. Bill Clinton changed that.

If nobody gets nuked (a bigger if than I’d like), this war is not the final straw that does for the USA. But it might well be for the EU.

The EU Needs More Than $1 Trillion For Plan To Ditch Russian Oil And Gas

The EU’s ambitious plan to reduce its dependency on Russian fossil fuels is going to require at least €1 trillion in investment.

In order to achieve the goals they have set out, the EU will require wartime levels of investment, construction, and production.

The EU is already working to speed up the permitting process to ensure that new solar and wind projects can be brought online in time.
