I did not even know Lutherans have bishops
. Seems rather Popish to me.

A whole lot of weird going on with this group. I wonder if they ever find the time to read the scriptures, or are too busy attending their grievance meetings .
This person should have been defrocked long ago. Scripture outlines a distinct procedure for those who claim to be saved but are unrepentant and living in sin, especially a publicly known sin: approach them with your witnesses, then if necessary the whole congregation.

Some 20 years ago, I left the Episcopal Church for good. The place was infested with leftists. I was on the board that selected a youth pastor. I was also the only conservative on the board. They chose a divorce man who liked to play video games as the youth pastor. I was the only dissenting vote. When he was introduced to the parish he stood up and introduced himself and his ex-wife, explaining that we would be seeing a lot of her.
Sorry, NOT a good example for Christian children, particularly my children. I explained to the priest that we would no longer be going to church there given the youth pastor and all the homosexual crap that going in the Anglican Communion. The ELCA wasn't an option to go to at that time either when we started to evaluate new churches to attend.

Lutherans have bishops. Episcopalians have bishops. So do Methodists. And yes, the orthodox have bishops. Sorry you had to find out this way.
I really couldn’t follow the article - other than “that’s a lot of crap” going on. ELCA is just a leftist social club. No Jesus, no cross, no body, no blood, no forgiveness.
The ELCA may have bishops, but real lutheran churches do not.
“Bishop” (επίσκοπος) is found in the New Testament Pastoral Epistles from Paul to Timothy.
Simply put: Bishops are Biblical.
The communities without such oversight have a lot of explaining to do.
