Bkmk/rocket stove
Hey, you got the same 3.83” total the rest of us got since October....
Thanks!
That’s gonna last a while. 😃
So, instead of washing a few dishes, they want you to use greenie-weenie disposables that have to be replaced every time they’ve been used? Does that idiot Granholm know these things come via diesel-burning trucks?
They were originally designed for third world places that don't have a lot of fuel and to help alleviate indoor smoke. That ring around the pot helps make the heat scrape up the sides of the pot. Some are designed with a recess that fits the pot so it sits down half way inside which results in the same thing.
A lot of people make their own and 20 years ago, you had to make one yourself but there are tons of pre-made ones these days.
Would love an off grid answer to having 2 oxygen concentrators running 24/7. Have a generator, but that will run out of fuel. My wife, if off o2 more than 5 minutes finds her O2 saturation fall into the 70’s. Heart and brain cells start struggling and dying when hypoxemia causes levels below 90% saturation. Rolling purposeful blackouts can literally become murder. I’d be gunning for the folks turning off the power on purpose if I lose a loved one to their recklessness of not ensuring adequate backup supply.
Check to see how many watts or amps they’re rated at and get back to me.
It’s, what, rained 3 days here the past year?
I have a generator, air compressor and sandblaster tools. My pots and dishes will be clean.
Resource Mix Changes: Variable energy resources continue to grow, and thermal resource capacity declines in most areas throughout this assessment period; as a result, increased attention is required to the planning and operating of a more complex resource mix. Details include the following:PLAIN-SPEAK TRANSLATION
- In many areas, variable energy resources are increasingly important to meet electricity demand. Texas and California rely on variable energy resources to meet peak hour demand; this can lead to operational risk during unanticipated conditions that reduce the resource output. Other areas are trending toward increasing reliance on variable energy resources over this assessment period. Sufficient flexible resources are needed in areas with high levels of variable generation to avoid shortfalls when variable resource output is insufficient to meet demand.
- Inverter based resources, including most solar and wind as well as new battery or hybrid generation, respond to disturbances and dynamic conditions based on programmed logic and inverter controls. Maintaining a reliable system as the penetration of inverter-based resources increases requires planners and operators to be cognizant of potential disturbance-related performance issues.
- Recently the ERO conducted a review of base case models used in transmission planning within the WI and identified modeling issues with wind and solar photo voltaic (PV) generators. Invalid or inaccurate generator models can contribute to steady-state or dynamic study result errors, affecting the reliability of the interconnected transmission system.
- Additional fossil-fueled generator retirements could occur as a result of economic uncertainty and environmental goals.
A small solar charger can help keep cellphones and other small devices charged. You can also get rechargeable batteries that have the same USB port as a lot of cellphones, eliminating the need for a separate charger.
If you decide to stock up on candles, I recommend finding candle holders that protect the flame without interfering with airflow. That will cut way down on the risk of starting a fire.
Somewhere, I even have a candle holder made out of a soup can, that was made so a steel mug could sit on top. It’s not much, but it’s enough to heat up a cup of soup or boil a cup of water. I used it when camping sometimes, because I could cook inside the tent when it was too rainy to cook outside.
Probably better to have an anti-green gas generator and fuel and ample guns and ammo than woke sustainable cutlery and dishes.
There is some highly placed stupid in that organization.
What is this marvelous Green Energy source politicians drool about but no one is able to tell us what it is.
I am quite sure that sooner or later the day will come when society can take advantage of Nuclear Fusion power, but until then we will have to rely on conventional sources like oil, coal, hydro electric as well as regular Nuclear power plants which depend on fission and not fusion.
Needless to say, wind turbines as well as solar panels add a nice touch and provide some additional sources of energy but it never can come up with the amount of power a growing society needs. I am still waiting for someone to come up and tell us what this mysterious energy source is going to be as we are supposed to GO GREEN and supposedly will replace all the carbon based resources we are using currently, as well as regular convectional nuclear power.
If by chance they are thinking about nuclear fusion as state earlier, sooner or later we most likely will have it but it will be quite a few more years down the road before we can take advantage of such properly functioning power plants. In the meantime we would do well to make the best of what we have and utilize it to the fullest, instead of foolishly refusing to use such sources and by doing so create nothing but havoc, hardship as well as the economy going to hell.
At he moment all that talk about GOING GREEN is nothing more, as Mike Adams bluntly pointed out in one of his articles…. The “Go green” cheer is really just a virtue signaling way to say, “Go F off and die.”
My old state of Maryland was trying to get to 50% renewables by 2030, and then trying to shoot for 100% by 2050. Delusional at this point, unless somebody can figure out much better solar storage capacity or produce the fabled room-temperature superconducting materials to use in electrical wires.
Like I said, our legislugs put it in the state statutes in NV to acheive those goals. Fidiots!
.
Look into getting a solar generator with solar panels.🤔
