Ukraine receives Harpoon missiles and howitzers, says defence minister

Ukraine has started receiving Harpoon anti-ship missiles from Denmark and self-propelled howitzers from the United States, Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said on Saturday, saying the arms would bolster forces fighting Russia's invasion.

"The coastal defence of our country will not only be strengthened by Harpoon missiles – they will be used by trained Ukrainian teams," Reznikov wrote on his Facebook page.

It amazes me how some people try to minimize that act of aggression.

And it amazes me how we Americans moralize about the behavor of others when they do the same things we do. Since 1823, we have exerted our will on our "sovereign" neighbors throughout our hemisphere, and we'd be hard pressed to name one of those countries besides Canada that we haven't invaded at least once.

Now we've moved NATO eastward to Russia's doorstep, utterly destroyed Belgrade for its resistance, overthrown the Kiev government which was friendly to Russia, and declared that Ukraine will be a NATO member. Not in Russia's hemisphere, but on its vulnerable southern border. What would we do in Moscow's shoes?

This war is on us and our hubris. From 5,000 miles away, we have played a stupid game and Europe has won our stupid prize. Russia is cleaning up a mess that Washington created and is still compounding, and the sooner it ends the better for everyone.

Yes, that is certainly true. George Washington told us to avoid foreign entanglements. Few presidents since then have heeded that wise advice. Trump was a exception. He tried to keep us out of trouble. But now we have Biden, and it’s back to the same old thing.

That's exactly what I expect will happen soon. Poland has always wanted to retake Galicia, which includes the present Ukrainian oblasts of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil, with about 5,000,000 people.

No matter who I am or where I live, I think if I my country is being invaded by the Russians(!), I don’t care what their reasons are or who my President is at the time, I would want and welcome help to fight the Russians(!) and kick them the hell out of my country.

From my 20th century communist hating point of view and as an average freedom loving citizen, I think my ambitions and interests are no higher than that, kick the effing Russians the hell outta my country, and whomever helps me do that is my friend.

None the less, there is a bigger picture here and, whether good or bad, not all is as it appears, only that Scripture is being fulfilled. So … ready or not, be ready.

We’re poking the beast and depriving Satan by overturning Row v Wade and “there will be Hell to pay” for doing this. Satan’s cult of human sacrifice will make sure of it.

Blood has great Biblical significance and, as Satan apes God, a blood sacrifice for power, innocent blood, especially, is apparently the hill top deal they made to gain their kingdom, so there will be blood.
