As a Giants fan, I was leery of Kapler replacing the irreplaceable Bruce Bochy. Then I started hearing him talk baseball. Smart, great sense of humor, even a little elequent talking about the game and his players.
Just ridiculous he feels, like our Hollywood numbskulls do, that we care anything about his political opinions.

To add to that, I got thinking about how Bochy would have reacted if questioned about the tragedy. I can just hear his gruff voice as he shakes his head and says, “Those poor kids,” then thanks the reporters and leaves the podium.
Oh my gosh, that game the other night was an unbelievable classic. I tuned in when the G-Men had it 8-2 (after they’d had a couple of really bad losses) and kind of couldn’t believe what the hell happened as it unfolded. That game is why we watch baseball.
