The Left’s animus towards energy independence and corresponding human flourishing must be challenged.
This week at Davos, U.S. climate envoy John Kerry, claimed, “There isn't any country on the planet that isn't feeling and living the impacts of the climate crisis.”
While in Japan, President Joe Biden appeared to relish in high gas prices back home, remarking, “[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over.”
A new book from philosopher Alex Epstein, however, argues continued use of fossil fuels and its byproducts will positively impact our future.
Epstein’s new book, Fossil Future: Why Global Human Flourishing Requires More Oil, Coal, and Natural Gas--Not Less, masterfully makes the case for continued usage of coal, oil, and natural gas against so-called “renewables.”

We need more fossil fuels.
The solution is to bring the dinosaurs back to life. And let the Carbon dioxide rise so that we grow truly massive forests.
I may send a copy of this book to all my bosses...
I wonder what my next job will be? :-)
“This week at Davos, U.S. climate envoy John Kerry, claimed, “There isn’t any country on the planet that isn’t feeling and living the impacts of the climate crisis.””
Can someone, anyone ask this clown Kerry what the plan is, when is the proof of concept going to be complete, what’s the ROI, and what’s the risk mitigation plan?
I’m sick and tired of all these hacks baying at the moon about climate change, with no real data to back it up and no plans on how they are going to solve this “problem.”
What they should have done from the start is claim that this is not a climate change issue, but a pollution issue and run on that. Problem of course is when they chose to do that back in the 70’s, manufacturing companies moved offshore or closed, NIMBY liberals didn’t want anything to mitigate pollution in their districts and it just didn’t sound sexy enough. But pollution really is the issue.
How does dead dinosaur end up in the Earth’s mantle?
Oil doesn’t come from fossils. I have some guesses as to why this term is being resurrected.
I know there’s not a lot of folks with a solid, or strong, Thermodynamics/Energy Heat Transfer background, and those that do are a very small minority. But those that do, know this to be true because of the proven science behind it.
But because it was nasty old white men that came up with the science, it must all be a lie. /s
The reality is; until the technology evolves to the point where alternative energy resources can commercially compete completely on their own standing and merit in a capitalist society, liquid fuels will continue to remain....regardless of the squinty-eyed Pig Face and its merry band of evil cohorts with their idealogical wet dreams.
Go to Titan and get all the liquid hydrocarbon fuel we need ,LOL
You’re ruining my narative.
I think we should pump all the oil out of the ground, so that the tectonic shift stops. We don’t want to collide with either Europe or China.
This week at Davos, U.S. climate envoy John Kerry, claimed, “There isn’t any country on the planet that isn’t feeling and living the impacts of the climate crisis.”
They must be crazy if they really believe what they are saying
The tectonic shift DOES need lubricant.
I’d use Astroglide, myself.
As the drills bored through layers to get to the oil they picked up some dino remains thus fossil fuel right? Can some of the brillianters ‘splain how some tapped out reservoirs have more oil in them after a certain period of time? Must have leaked in from the strategic reserves huh? And, just how many dinos were there?
I guess it's time to dust off the old "Epstein Didn't Kill Himself" signs.
Just like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie-pop, the world may never know.
How long would these enterprises last without being subsidized?
BRING BACK PANGEA!
“There isn’t any country on the planet that isn’t feeling and living the impacts of the climate crisis.”
I cannot think of a SINGLE way that this supposed “climate crisis” has affected me. I cannot see any manifestation of it. None, whatsoever.
Can anybody here tell us how the “climate crisis” has affected them?
A year ago, North Idaho was sweltering in a 90 degree heat wave. This year we are barely hitting 60 so far. I suppose any deviation from the perfectly ideal 72F is a crisis.
Let me toss this out again:
1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.
2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.
Tell the warmunists you’ll wait for their answers.
Seems like they’re in a rush to kill fossil fuel by 2025, not 2050.
WEF will make it look like fossil fuel is dead and when prices are exponentially higher than they are now, they’ll then take control of it and line their own pockets at our expense.
The WEF is a organization that absolutely runs on communist ideology but they do not dare call themselves communist..its bad optics...”You will not own anything..and you will be happy” - Charles Schwab, Commissar of WEF
There is no such a thing as a fossil fuel
There are fossils using fuel. 🤣👌
