Texas Department Public Safety spokesman Lt. Christopher Olivarez confirmed to a reporter during a live shot that police officers went into Robb Elementary School to get their own children during the massacre.
Amid outrage over reports that frantic families who complained about police inaction during the massacre were held back by police, a clip of a live interview with Olivarez from Tuesday has gone viral.

Why the eff do the FIB have any jurisdiction. Where is the Sheriff as he is the ultimate law enforcer in the county.

It wasn’t just a couple of minutes. The State Police spokesman said the murderer fired shots outside for TWELVE MINUTES. Surely someone could lock the doors in that much time.
Whose job was it to lock the exterior doors?
Why didn’t they do it? Were they hiding somewhere?
If there was no clarity on that, why? Who failed to have that extremely simple security procedure in place?
Where was the regular security officer? Was he on approved leave or just AWOL?
Seems like massive incompetence made this disaster so much worse than it might have been. That said, the murderer gets 100% of the blame.
How many cops quit because of vaccine policies?
The shooter also had a handgun.
We should know that as well.
Another question is: Was the PD defunded in any way if so, by how much?
Yeah, I’ve seen such reports. Has Texas gone full Woke? It defies everything I know about current Texan attitudes. The chaotic reporting seems almost purposeful. What the hell is going on?
We need some good solid reporting.
A mother when she heard what was happening drove 40 miles and when she arrive she yelled at the police to go into the building. They handcuffed her then later let her go, she jumped a fence and ran into the school and rescued her daughter.
Every single one of those law enforcement there should be fired. They stood around waiting on what? Someone to give permission. Fireman do not stand around and wait.
There were FEDERAL MARSHALLS on the site as well, keeping parents away and doing nothing to stop the shooter. Pathetic worms. So much for the Tommy Lee Jones ‘Fugitive’ Marshalls image. And what were they doing there anyway? SUS?

Upon notification by the P.A., teachers immediately lock classroom doors. I would have to assume that since there was a gun battle at the front entrance to the school lasting several minutes, someone at the front office should have passed the word. We have heard nothing about what happened inside the school other than the fact that the murderer got into a pair of classrooms and started killing.
At some point we’ll hear from others who were there, if they are allowed to speak. I have no doubt the school has told the other teachers to shut up or risk being fired, but sooner or later someone will talk.
I agree, that a couple of locked doors would have made this much less deadly. I have speculated, and someone claimed it confirmed, that the two teachers who died were showing their class a movie, which might have meant they didn’t hear the gunfire, but the question has to be, was the school warned by the office over the school’s P.A. about the danger?
Not much of that in this area.
Or cops being leaned on by Feds.
I am on side of the real cops in this town. Looks like a lot of state and Fed LE were on the scene! Who called the shots?
