BUFORD, Ga. — Incumbent Brad Raffensperger held off a challenge from his Donald Trump-backed opponent, Rep. Jody Hice, R-Ga., in Georgia’s Republican secretary of state primary on Tuesday, NBC News projects.
With 98 of precincts reporting, Raffensperger had 51.9 percent of the vote, while Hice had 33.8 percent. Two other lesser-known candidates — former Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle and former Judge T.J. Hudson — both received support in the single digits.
Because Raffensperger received more than 50 percent of the vote, he was able to avoid a runoff against Hice, which is required under Georgia state law if no candidate wins an outright majority of the vote.

I call him Ratburger—he is as bad as it gets.
But the vote totals are similar. If your theory was correct there would be a much larger drop off in Republican votes.
1.16 million GOP votes in the Senate primary vs 712k in the Democrat.
1.18 million GOP votes in the Governor primary vs 708k in the Democrat.
1.15 million GOP votes in the SOS primary vs 680k in the Democrat.
1.14 million votes for Republican Colvin vs 531k for Democrat Brinson.
The data doesn’t support your theory.
Maybe, just perhaps, people outside of internet echo chambers don’t vote and think the same?
By the way, we have data on how many voters might fit your theory.
Only 7% of the voters in the Republican primary previously voted in the Democrat primary in 2020.
Seven … percent.
93% did not.
Even if ALL of that 7% had been excluded Kemp and Raffensperger would have won regardless.
We voted for Jody. Its hard to believe that slimy little criminal Raffensperger won. The Dems turned out to vote for him and Kemp.
Kemp and Raffensperger
Belief is irrelevant. All that matters is the data.
Kemp won 73.69% of the vote.
The total votes cast were nearly identical in the GOV, Senate and SOS races.
Hershel Walker won 68% of the vote.
See if you can figure out what that matters.
That was fast
Pa. is still hanging.
You’re not convincing me or hundreds of thousands of people. Why don’t you just accept that I understand where you’re coming from and stop trying to beat a dead horse?
What kind of campaign did Hice run? You hear stories about Purdue basically just phoning it in but did Hice run a serious effort? Having given up a safe House seat to run for this one would hope so.
Even the lib AJC admits this much …
… A recent report by the far-left Atlanta Journal-Constitution found that at least 7% of early Republican voters were Democrats.…
(In before Bushies bash the source.)
Open primary. If Dems can switch over and vote for the establishment swamp creature and switch back, it’s going to be this way.
There’s a huge gap of missing voters in the DNC primary.
Telling fact.
Thanks.
Careful now - those sorts of facts hurts the brains of low information FReepers.
He’s the secretary of the whole frickin’ state and he can’t find 10 thousand ballots? What a loser.
