Yes, but Israel has demonstrated that she is militarily STRONGER than Egypt.
Ukraine is not as strong as Russia.

It’s a refusal to take the time to find out what led up to this war.
To them, if China set up bases in Mexico across the US border, they’d probably protest us doing something about it militarily, too - since they hadn’t yet attacked us.

Kissinger is a realist and knows the longer this war goes on te more land Ukraine is likely to lose, leaving them a rump state minus a coastline on the Black Sea. And if NATO were to intervene, the odds of a tactical nuke being employed is very high. That leaves a negotiated settlement as the best option at this point.

...actually, once part of NATO, which was being loudly talked about over the past 2 years, who knows which side would have been stronger.
Peace through any means should have been discussed long ago. But Biden was too cognitively weak to negotiate anything, let alone world peace.
Now we have a destroyed Ukraine, a humiliated (and still dangerous) Russia, food shortages, bankrupting energy prices, a faltering stock market, and billions of dollars worth of man portable weapons that can take down airliners for the 20 years.
If Russia got a chunk of Ukraine in exchange for none of the above, I would be thrilled.

Israel has had thousands die in terrorist bombings
murders, blown up pizzarias cafes, busses. Not
to mention people stabbed, run down on sidewalks
by vans,etc.

Israel defeated Egypt in a matter of DAYS ( both times ). The first time surrounded by several Arab countries.
Ukraine is fighting a war of attrition.
Russia’s military budget is close to $70 Billion, while Ukraine’s is a mere $6 billion.
The longer this war goes, the more suffering for Ukraine.
There are 2 possible solutions:
1) Give up Crimea. The Crimeans have mostly NOT identified as Ukranians anyway.
2) Negotiate for a REFERENDUM in the Donbass regions to see if the majority want to remain with Ukraine, be part of Russia, or become independent.
Kissinger is a fossil and a tool. His brand of realpolitik is precisely why the world is so effed up.
Not on account of the land. On account of Egypt getting defeated three times in a row, and having a falling out with the USSR, its erstwhile backer, and going into the US orbit as a result, and having a crappy economy so no finances for more defeats by Israel. The fact that during the Yom Kippur War, Egypt knocked Israel back on its heels initially, and held onto some sliver of land at the end gave Egypt enough saved face that they could talk peace with Israel, but in point of fact they didn’t have any fight left in them. But for Jimmuh’s pressure on Israel, they wouldn’t have gotten squat and still been at peace for 40 years.
Why not give Germany to the Russians as well.Is he Nuts?Does he really think that Russia will stop its aggression once its has part of Ukraine? Hitler didn’t and he conquered Poland and Czechoslovakia and he still attacked Russia.
