Exactly- plenty of 21YO and 22YO illegals here in NY attending high school.
Border Patrol would not be chasing an illegal that lives in town that would be ICE. They have the authority to do so, but generally speaking we only arrest people that just crossed, we’re found out at the checkpoint or arrested by local law enforcement.
At times Border Patrol agents can and do backup local law enforcement.
IIRC they have jurisdiction a certain number of miles from the border to chase people.
