Appears to me after watching some of the more independent information channels that the Ukrainian forces are near collapse in the east in certain areas. Never rely on main stream news outlets ever.
If I were the Ukrainians, I would pull back along the front in the east and redeploy before they become trapped. Then, focus exclusively on the Odessa region and counter attack in full force. Get the Russians pushed back across the Dneiper river.
In the north around Kharkiv. Invade Russia. Just in far enough to scare the living hell out of them and force them to concentrate their attention there. Then pull back after committing that feint.
