Former Vice President Mike Pence appears to not rule out a presidential bid in 2024 in what will become a sizable Republican primary, even if his former ticket mate, former President Donald Trump, is also running, according to a report.
Before a speech Pence gave last month in Iowa, he told the New York Times that he would not rule out entering the 2024 presidential race even if Trump enters the race as well. Pence added that he and his wife, Karen Pence, would act on prayer, stating, “We’ll go where we’re called. … That’s the way Karen and I have always approached these things.”

Pence is putting a (D) behind his name and making Liz “Blow harder” Cheney as his running mate.
The impression I get, is that Trump is the clear front runner, if he wants the nomination.
If Trump doesn’t run, I just don’t see Pence having any great support among Republicans.
No matter what, Pence is a non-issue in presidential politics.
And if Trump does run and get the nomination, I’m sure someone besides Pence will be his running mate.
Pence is retired from politics. Everyone but Pence seems to know that.

I take this as a troubling indication that Pence has early-onset dementia.

I respect that approach but I pray he doesn’t run for his sake. At his age he doesn’t need the stress and aggravation. Pence should retire. He isn’t needed.

I’d say the god of this world is calling him.
I see Pence answering the “call” more in a “Manchurian Candidate” fashion.
I don’t see a path to him winning any primaries.
If Trump decided not to run, got ill, or stumbled, DeSantis would get the votes.
Anyone who despises Trump finds Pence too close to him. Those who appreciate Trump have no use for him.
If I am a primary opponent or A Dem opponent in the General Election, I would focus on him being the leader of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. How did THAT work out?
