Two months ago, former President Donald Trump rescinded his endorsement of conservative Rep. Mo Brooks' Senate bid, claiming that the longtime political ally went "woke" in saying that the party needed to look to the future.
At the time, Brooks was lagging in fundraising and his polling numbers had stalled in the Republican primary against former Business Council of Alabama president and CEO Katie Britt — who was endorsed by retiring GOP Sen. Richard Shelby — and former US Army pilot Michael Durant.
But Brooks has made a major rebound — a development that might have seemed improbable after Trump bailed on his onetime preferred candidate.
Alabama is one of the most deeply Republican states in the country, and Trump — who easily won the state in both 2016 and 2020 — retains a huge amount of goodwill among its huge swath of conservative voters.

Tomorrow’s game day. My thought is Katie is right on the edge of avoiding a run off. If it goes to a run off, I expect Trump to come out with an endorsement. But that is just speculation. I think this article is a late push for Mo but too little to late... We will know tomorrow, which is cool!
I’m voting Mo
Durant is my reluctant 2nd choice
Britt is obviously bought and paid for. . . no way I vote for her, though Durant probably is too.
Mo Brooks may still end up benefiting fron Trumps now resinded endorsement.
The average voter might not be keeping track of all the back and forth changes on exactly who has endorsed whom.
I like the way Mo is playing this. He’s sending out flyers highlighting his past and current support of Trump’s agenda, along with numerous complementary quotes from Trump. He’s had my full support in the past and I’ve seen nothing to change that. Trump’s claim that Mo went woke is the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard him say.
I haven’t seen anything to convince me that any of the other candidates are more conservative than Mo. And Britt’s connections make her a nonstarter. It’s time for Alabama to send a conservative to the Senate. Mo Brooks.
“My thought is Katie is right on the edge of avoiding a run off.”
Britt needs 50% to avoid a runoff. The latest poll shows she has about 30%, with Brooks at about 28% and Durant at about 24%. So there’s likely going to be a runoff no matter who’s on top tomorrow night.
RatRipper, copy that. Good on you. I am a big fan of Katie Britt. Mo lost me when he told Alabamians to get over the rigged election. Katie said she would back TN Senator Bill Hagerty’s push for an audit of 2020. She and her husband both said unequivocally that the election was rigged. Anyway, I am glad you are voting! Good luck!
The MSM trumpets and Trump endorsement failure, while ignoring the 95% successful ones.

When has that ever happened before?
There is no “Trump failure” on this one.
See #10.
Thanks! As soon as I read the headline, I assumed it was a dubious hit piece.
I hope all Alabamians remember that the turtle Mitch McConnell is putting $2 million behind Katy Britt. That should tell everybody how to vote. Go Mo!
Katie Britt’s words are meaningless, given that she is being supported by the Turtle.
Mo Brooks is the only candidate with a reliable conservative voting record.
Didn't Mo say that voters should move on from the 2020 election?
Anybody have Mo's direct quote on this?
All the conservative votes in Mo's record is meaningless, if he thinks the 2020 steal is an issue we should ignore.
I don’t think it was a complete and total endorsement.
I know Mo will always vote conservative. I cannot say the same for the rest of candidates.
