This is the place to be.
We get varied opinions here, and see people go head to head
in the furtherance of their grasp of what is going on.
While that can be rather disrupting at time, it’s actually
a healthy thing. That is if it doesn’t go too far, and it
does at times.
Luckily, we get to post some pretty advanced perceptions
as long as we keep it civil. And sometimes, it isn’t.
I’m as guilty as the next guy in that. Certainly not
claiming to be a paragon of virtue on the subject.
The point is, this forum has value. It is here where we
can see information expand until we can make heads or
tails, or come closer than we can anywhere else.
The forum is not financed by outside special interests.
We dig deep to support the forum, so it continues to
exist. For that reason the forum doesn’t get boycotted,
or pressure to reform is standards. No one tells us
what we can or can’t post here, within reason.
Folks, if you’re reading this, you come here and use
the forum to keep up on national and global dynamics.
You have found value here.
Please thank the forum owner by donating to keep the
place here, for us to use.
Start at $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can
afford in this range. Start out small and increase it
10% every January.
By doing this, you’ll be gradually increasing your
support for the forum in a way that will not hurt your
pocket book.
Start at $10 for instance. The next year increase it.
You’ll find that you don’t miss that $10 per month.
The next year increase it to $15. You won’t miss that
much either. Who can’t give up just $5 a month. And
at each step, you find it easier to move up, until
you’ve got a pretty good sum being donated each month.
The funny thing is, you don’t miss that either.
It would be great if we had that 300 people to make
the $100 a quarter payment.
If you haven’t been paying, don’t feel bad. Just make
a goal of starting. After a few years, you’ll be
surprised how much you’re supporting the forum after a
while.
I went years without paying my fair share. I’m
catching up now, for those years. I am able to do
that because I started out small and realized I
wouldn’t miss it if I added another $10, $15, or
perhaps $20 per month.
We have a crew that works each FReep-a-thon. If the
effort is over in one month, they can enjoy the forum
without having to work every day until the next
FReep-a-thon. If we don’t resolve the FReep-a-thon
until ten days before the next one starts, these
people only get 10 days before the long effort starts
all over again.
Jim has to remind people to participate. It’s a
continual drain on his energy. I think we let him
down.
How about we draw a bowling type line here, and make
a commitment to ourselves to step up and be more
supportive from here on out.
Let’s join others to donate that perfect game. 300x100
Done.
Rock on, Jim and FR.
