Never in my lifetime. My late father carried Joe McCarthy’s casket to his rest. The lies go back forever.
That’s really not the complete truth. The media has always picked sides, usually the wrong one, remember the Pamphlet Era? It was as nasty then as today, the delivery method has changed, nothing else.
