Philadelphia business owners say it's 'very dangerous' to run a business in the city..
Convenience stores in the Philadelphia area are "closing left and right" in response to an increase in brazen shoplifting incidents, merchants in the city say.

president of the Franchise Owners Association, said, according to WPVI. "Robbers are coming in, they're just robbing the place left and right."
Chughtai said 15-20 stores in the city have closed in recent days, noting that people aren’t stepping up to take over a store and run it.

We have now lost about 15-20 stores in the city of Philadelphia. Nobody wants to take over the store. Nobody wants to run the business in the city of Philadelphia. Very dangerous,

Similar issues with rampant shoplifting have affected other cities in the country, most notably San Francisco. Walgreens shuttered more than a dozen locations in the Bay Area as of last year, citing "ongoing organized retail crime."

Elections have consequences, particularly the mayor and district attorney elections.
What I want to know is why aren’t the social workers who replaced the police solving this.
As inflation accelerates, the crime rate is going to accelerate right along with it. And with soros prosecutors failing to do the job it’s easier to steal stuff so why not?
When the losses eat into the margin to the point where there is little to no profit, why bother? It’s a losing proposition to stay in business.
When law enforcement/justice systems fail the very people that are paying for them and they’re supposed to protect, that’s what happens.
Philly needs to establish a max/min amount shoplifters can lift, so the pilferers can stay within the law — like in the left-coast states.
And the leftists wonder why certain areas have food deserts, grocery store deserts, pharmacy deserts. Soon the pilferers will have to take 3 different buses and cross over 2 major interstates just to find a store to pilfer in.
For shame! For shame!

Its systemic white oppression, or something.
Just start shooting............
Now, I order on line, drive up, get my car loaded within a few minutes and I'm out of there. I don't miss the interaction with the other Wal-Mart shoppers in the least.
Ping.
They're the ones doing the robbing.
Blue-$hithole-nation…..
I’m happy that you are better than the people who actually go inside Wal-Mart. (Is this the point you are trying to make?)
I’m beginning to think the biggest mistake we made in 2020 was not encouraging the cities to burn.
They are still working hard building the Midnight Basketball Courts!

The extreme far left has got its mail in voters used to everything being free. The stupid bass turds who don’t get the true meaning of ‘The Land of the Free’. There isn’t any going back. The DNC is made up of 81 million cop and baby killing freeloaders.
Dr. Kersey, Dr. Paul Kersey...please pick up the white courtesy phone.
Some parts of the city, already beset by the rising crime and inflation uncertainties, will become literally “food deserts”, where common everyday grocery shopping and household needs will not be available to the inhabitants, unless they have the means to go far outside the locality.
The thefts will shift from the convenience stores to the persons trying to get home with their groceries, or the delivery services that dare to enter the area. Dystopia is born and raised to an art form.
Society votes its way into communism and then has to shoot its way out.
