The Dow fell by more than 1,000 points, putting it on track to break a four-day winning streak, as big retailers reported their profits are getting crushed by inflationary pressures.

The S&P 500 fell by 3% on Wednesday and the Nasdaq shed nearly 4% as investors reacted to a weak first quarter earnings report by Target.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was recently at 31,618.18 — off 1,036.41 points, or 3.2%.

What else can you do with an IRA? If you take a distribution you will be TAXED come tax time.

How you gonna buy gold with an IRA, unless you get that worthless paper gold which isn't physical gold!

Physical precious metals purchase with an IRA would require cashing out which at that point you'd be TAXED on your distribution.

Buy low, sell high. THE HIGH IS BEHIND US and the lowest low has YET TO COME. It's going to get much WORSE.

The U.S. version to the first question, and not well at all to the second.

I expect Costco to do just fine because people will be eating at home much more.

They’ll do just fine until their suppliers stop showing up, followed by their customers!

Bought a used car a couple weeks ago and new dishwasher coming today.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
A dishwasher?? Is she attractive? Seriously, I’ve always considered a dishwasher to be a total waste of money. In fact, I’ve had one in my beach condo for 35 years and never used it a single time!

Seriously though, my tools are in the garage. Getting to them will require 5 hours of moving her stuff around though.

Yes. First quarter GDP was negative for 2022, and the last quarter of 2021 was not much better. If the second quarter of 2022 is remains negative, it will merely marked the “official “ start of the recession we all knew began trending down into in March 2021.

I suspect most people in this country (and possibly most people on this forum) would disagree with you, but I’m not one of them. I believe you’re absolutely right.

“... raising corporate taxes will help turn around inflation.”

Panel #3 in the trifold DNC play brochure.

Hell can’t swallow them up soon enough.
