Pete Buttigieg said the baby formula shortage is affecting him and his husband Chasten as they have had to 'root around' and talk to friends out of state to get food for their nine-month old twins.
The transportation secretary said their twins - Penelope Rose and Joseph August Buttigieg - are 'completely reliant' on formula.

Rep. Thomas Massie: “The US-duh and the F-duh are working every day to keep prices high and supply low”

The @US_FDA has had the same impact on baby formula manufacturing as the @USDA has had on meat processing in the United States.
The US-duh and the F-duh are working every day to keep prices high and supply low, while making sure no new businesses can enter the market

Pediatricians these days recommend breast milk (or formula as a far inferior 2nd choice) as the baby’s primary food source for the first year. No cows milk until about age 1. I'll have to remember that for any kids I might beget in future.

If Pete’s story was a novel, it would be so stupid I couldn’t get through the first paragraph.

I am not homophobic, because I am not afraid of homosexuals. It would be accurate to say that I am homo-revolted or homo-disgusted, and doubly so with regard to a couple of homosexuals raising children.

Get with it, Marcus. They would be “chestfeeding.”
I’d LOVE to hear him explain why that isn’t working out for the GD perverts. I so pity those little kids.

I wonder why individual states are not manufacturing “state aid or emergency” food? Nutritious baby food is not hard to make, and when the market for baby food is working, the plant could make other supplemental food, perhaps for the elderly and then even the poor.
Agriculture is seasonal and cyclical, so states should “buy low” when particular crops are overabundant, then can or otherwise preserve them. Then normally provide them to charity food services, unless the market has a shortage or the price is too high.
Oddly enough, such a “buffer” typically does not affect the market price.

Well yeah, unless you two perverts are making those babies do to you what you two do with each other.
