Globalists and anti-Americans of all stripes see that America is wounded right now and are trying everything they can to take advantage and bleed it to death. Throw $40 billion at Ukraine?…Sure. A trillion for COVID “relief”?…Why not make it 2 Trillion?, etc. I don’t think the wild, out of control spending of late is due to irresponsibility or incompetence. It’s a deliberate attempt to completely crush the country for good while everything is already imploding.

That’s a whole lot better than the two GOP Senators from TN voting for amnesty last time around (Corker and Alexander)

I’m glad to see the freshman senator from Alabama continue to make such wise choices since becoming a senator. I remember a number of freepers had reservations as to his credentials during the primaries. Also remember that McConnell supported his opponent, “Trust” Sessions in the primaries. We need more senators like Tubberville.

How much of the forty billion is going to the Ukraine? How much will be spent on other projects spent to feather politicians’ nests here in the USA?

“Ukraine estimates it will cost close to a trillion dollars to rebuild the country.”

It’ll cost at least 1 trillion Euros & the equivalent in Rubles, dollars should be “off the table.” Period.

The positive to the Russian Ukraine War, is a lot more labor will be moving around the European Zone & North America.

Capitalists should start seeing results within 2 to 3 years.(Maybe sooner)

The list of lawmakers hindering aid to Ukraine ??

A whole bunch of CONgress critters desperately need this bill so they can collect their cut of the loot. Without it, they have to live like everyone else. With a price tag of $40 Billion, there is an easy $10-$20 Million in BRIBE money for all of them

“How much of the forty billion is going to the Ukraine? How much will be spent on other projects spent to feather politicians’ nests here in the USA?”

Hard to tell.

However, any money or goods that enter Ukraine better be nailed down with railroad spikes, because Ukrainians with crow bars are a “dime a dozen.”

“Only eleven? Good Lord they hate American’s”

Trump is learking, tread lightly Redumblicans enablers. Isn’t it strange that we are hearing nothing about so-called NATO allies contribution to this conflict. Why is that?.

“ Does this constitute a filibuster? Or is it already going up for a vote?”
************************************************************
I don’t know if it meets the definition of a filibuster but they kept it from having enough votes to close and go to a vote. Maybe in the next cloture vote the ELEVEN will be joined by more. A guy can dream.🤷‍♂️

United States of America.. sending BORROWED money to Ukraine since the Treasury is bankrupt with national debt BIGGER than GDP. National debt is climbing at furious rate of many Trillions each year.

LOL. If you don’t think that Uncle Sucker will pay the lion’s share of the peace as it is already doing for the war, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell to you. And it will be in dollars, billions and billions of dollars. And not only will Ukraine be a recipient, so will many European countries who have refugees.

Ukraine was a poor and corrupt country before the war. GDP per capita was $12,400 just $100 more than Cuba’s $12,300. The 5.5 million Ukrainian refugees abroad will be joined by millions more. They will need housing, schools, jobs, medical care, etc. Many of the refugees are elderly placing other burdens on the social welfare system.

Most European countries don’t have a shortage of workers. Labor participation rates in the US are in the low 60’s. We are about to enter a recession along with most of Europe. Inflation, high energy and food costs, and low growth economies will not be helped by millions of refugees, not only from Ukraine, but Africa. The perfect storm is coming.

Capitalists get the profits and the taxpayer pays the social costs.

I read it wrong before my first post. I then realized only 11 were against and not for the bill. Correction in post 31.

“a sign of growing GOP opposition to U.S. efforts aimed at countering Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bloody three-month-old invasion there”

With Trump in opposition there is momentum to shut this one down. Even many Ukraine supporters are looking at their personal and community situation...wondering why $40BIL is going to Ukraine with no strings attached. And no US oversight.

Sometimes insanity is discovered soon enough to prevent harm.

Vote no
