Pennsylvania Senate candidate Kathy Barnette's campaign said she was at the Jan. 6, 2021 protest in Washington, D.C., to "demand election accountability," but didn't break the law, after photos of her from that day surfaced on the eve of the state's primary election.
"Kathy was in DC to support President Trump and demand election accountability," a Barnette campaign spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "Any assertion that she participated in or supported the destruction of property is intentionally false."
NBC News Monday morning published photos that appear to show Barnette marching in D.C. on Jan. 6 near members of "Proud Boys," an extreme right-wing group that played a prominent role in the Capitol attack.
Barnette's campaign further denied that she has any connection to the Proud Boys and that "Americans deserve transparency to restore faith in our system" of elections."
There is no evidence that Barnette entered the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 or broke any laws.

Barnette was on Special Report (FOX) just a few minutes ago talking about this issue, her controversial tweets and the contest.
Quick note on the last 2 polls (Emerson and Susquehanna). As I wrote on here last night, I almost always will take a Susquehanna poll over an Emerson poll. Susq is just better. And, in this case, they are polling the state they reside in (Susq is located in Harrisburg). But, I'm hesitant to trust Susq here for two reasons:
1. Emerson had a much larger sample size (1000 vs 600)
2. Emerson's polled was done later (May 14-15 versus May 12-15)
So, in this instance I'm actually more inclined to side with the Emerson poll. There's a couple of other factors as well (Emerson pushed Undecideds to make a call; Susq did not and has many more Undecideds; etc).
We'll know more tomorrow. For me, the best news of all is that the Bushie hedge fund guy seems to be tanking (Susquehanna). I want Oz to win (Trump's guy), but I'd be a lot happier supporting Barnette than McCormick should Oz lose.
I'll also say this -- if Susq is correct, then I'd be stunned if Barnette loses tomorrow. Based on their data, she should win.
I'm in PA. Polls open 7am and close 8pm. So we're like 25 hours from the polls being closed after the vote tomorrow.
Correction — the Susq poll had 400 respondents, not 600. I mistyped that. Emerson had 1000 respondents.

Exactly. This may hurt her in the general, and maybe a bit in the cities and burbs tomorrow, but honestly I think it helps her overall.
She went to support Trump and oppose the steal. No sane GOP voter is going to be upset with that.

If Kathy Barnette was with me (and at least 800,000 other patriots) on January 6, my estimation of her just went up several notches.
Oz is just a fluff celebrity guy. But he’s Trump’s guy, and many Oprah types are comfy with him. That can help.
If you look at the cross-tabs in the Emerson poll, he does best in cities and with women. Oprah Voter.
That could help in November.
Kathy is much more regular folks than Oz.
I wanted Parnell. He was the guy. But he’s out and Trump went with Oz, so that’s who I’ll vote for.
I’ll be happy to support Kathy if she wins tomorrow, though.
