I thought the same thing yesterday after learning the details of the Buffalo shooting. All of this is too conveniently timed, and too well “packaged”.
Have you noticed how these things seem to come in clusters? I think it's because on whack-job goes off the deep end at which point the others see how much attention and publicity he gets and decides to upstage him. If it wasn't for the notoriety, they'd just off themselves and leave everybody else alone.
No, I wouldn’t say that. Lots of retirees in the area so the median income seems a tad low at $40,000. But it’s hardly depressed.

Last time I went into the indoor mall, there seemed to be a lot of closed stores. This was maybe five years ago.
You probably went to the Laguna Hills Mall and it has never been prosperous. But that’s true of about every mall in this country these days.

You have to expect that in this area. The average age of Laguna Woods is 77 years old and the females outnumber males almost 2:1.

Used to work out in that area; Laguna Hills/Laguna Beach were just getting to the hyper-developed state back in the late 80’s/early 90’s.
