Former President Trump on Friday criticized lawmakers for working to pass $40 billion in aid for Ukraine, blaming Democrats for advancing the legislation despite it also having support from a majority of House Republicans.
“The Democrats are sending another $40 billion to Ukraine, yet America’s parents are struggling to even feed their children,” Trump said in a statement issued through his Save America PAC.
The former president claimed “no one is talking about” the baby formula shortage in the U.S., which he said is “a national disgrace.”
“It is unthinkable that in the year 2022 American families are unable to get baby formulas for their children. Families whose children have serious allergies and require ‘elemental’ formula are in even more desperate and dire straits,” he added.
Earlier this week, the House passed nearly $40 billion in aid for Ukraine, including about $8.7 billion for an Economic Support Fund, $6 billion in security assistance and $900 million in support services for refugees.
The package, which passed 368-57, only had 57 Republicans vote “no,” meaning most House Republicans backed the legislation.
Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) struck a deal that aimed for the aid package to pass the Senate on Thursday, though Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) blocked the chamber from quickly passing the package.
That's why I like him...
Rut row
War crowd here not gonna be happy
PS. MANY WERE ORIGINALLY NEVERTRUMPERS.....imagine that
Hell yeah! bump.
.
1). They’ve repeated allocated money for Ukraine. This is just the latest.
2). They agreement was $33 Billion and the Dems added Pork, and the GOP ran to sign it.
3). The Dems and WH said with this $40 Billion - this is just the beginning, and the Republicans said, get ready for a long war.
There is no end to this spending.
.
Trump said earlier that he supported Ukraine even more than Biden.

Yeah,
I like him for a lot of reasons.
But I think he is wrong about the Ukraine bill, and right about baby formula.
Granted, the Ukraine bill wouldn’t have been necessary if Trump had been allowed a second term.
Trump has my support. Only he and Rand Paul appear to represent what Americans want and need.
George and Jacqueline, on Long Island, NY, go to their Shop Rite store, and can’t find any baby formula for Millie.
MEANWHILE ..
in an American southern border detention center, Carlos and Maria witness a pallet packed with cartons of baby formula being distributed among the center “residents”, for free.
WHAT IN THE WIDE WIDE WORLD OF SPIT IS BLOODY WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE????!!!!
Granted, the Ukraine bill wouldn’t have been necessary if Trump had been allowed a second term.
***A stitch in time saves 9.
Well, it’s good that he’s taken a clear side in this. Better to have a primary race based on issues than on personality.
He’s a bit of a free spirit
Mark Levin and the neoCONs hardest hit.
I think this is his way of aiming for the proportionality argument.
It makes sense to support Ukraine’s border. It REALLY makes sense to support our own. It makes sense to deal with this baby formula issue.
I would put the proportions if he were in charge and had a republican congress at
40% support Ukraine
58% support knocking out illegal colonization on our own border
2% baby formula thingie.
If he were not in charge and had a democrat congress, I’d be happy with any proportionality even down to 2% for our own border. The problem obviously is: He is not in charge.
Go Trump. He supports Ukraine against this stupid Russian invasion but sees no reason for us to spend money on it. That’s where I’m at.
Some people including most of the Republicans in Congress can’t separate supporting Ukraine from financing Ukraine.
We'd have the exact same problem with the southern border, and the exact same baby formula issue, whether we gave money to Ukraine or not. The causes of both of those issues like elsewhere, not with the money being spent on Ukraine.
For what it’s worth I’m neutral on this conflict and have posted articles on both sides
