I graduated from high school in Miami, Florida, in 1964. At that time all seniors were required to take a 6-week course in Communism. Besides reading a textbook on communism, we read the source documents such as the Communist Manifesto, and we studied the techniques of propaganda and learned to recognize propaganda. It was very worthwhile and may be similar to what is now being implemented...I hope. Maybe they should include “Rules for Radicals.”
Only problem will be getting the teachers to teach it and teach it properly. Some are already teaching about communism - as a good thing.
