Pennsylvania Senate candidate Kathy Barnette says she "worked on Wall Street for many years." She's about 955 miles off.
Barnette, a conservative commentator, cited her experience on Wall Street in 2011 and 2020, and in an attack on Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. "I worked 4 years on Wall Street. Would u invest money w/ someone who was filing bankruptcy?" she wrote of Trump's finances in 2016.
But Barnette's official résumé suggests she worked far from the domain of "bulls, bears, [and] people from Connecticut." She has held three jobs in the financial services industry, according to a now-deleted LinkedIn profile. She was an associate analyst at the Missouri-based A.G. Edwards from 1997 to 1999, and a financial equity analyst at "Banc of America Capital Management," her résumé says. She described the latter as a "major Wall Street firm" but worked for the company in St. Louis.
A Washington Free Beacon geographic analysis found that Wall Street is in New York City, not St. Louis. There is a Wall Street in the midwestern town, but it is largely residential.
The inconsistency emerges as Barnette faces other questions about her background. Barnette, whose surge in polls has caught opposing GOP campaigns by surprise, gave contradictory answers about whether she voted for Trump in the 2016 primary. She claimed this week she did, but said in her 2020 book, "I didn’t vote for Trump in the primaries." Barnette opposed Trump during much of the 2016 campaign, saying his moral character was "questionable," but said she joined the "Trump train" by the general election. Barnette insisted this week she voted for Trump in 2016, but the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette reported she did not cast a ballot in Pennsylvania until 2018..

Trump, who has endorsed celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz in the race, blasted Barnette on Thursday, saying she “will never be able to win the General Election against the Radical Left Democrats.”
“She has many things in her past which have not been properly explained or vetted,” Trump said.
Democrats are likely to seize on Barnette’s extensive catalog of public statements on hot-button cultural issues. She has lamented the “Homosexual AGENDA” and called Islam “the enemy.” “Pedophilia is a Cornerstone of Islam,” she declared on social media in 2015.
Barnette has provided few details about other aspects of her background. She often cites her hardscrabble upbringing on an Alabama pig farm and her 10 years of service in the military. Barnette’s campaign initially declined to provide her military records, going as far as hanging up on this reporter this week when asked for the documents. She later released records showing she served in the Army Reserves and Alabama National Guard. Barnette said Thursday she has documents showing her active duty service in the Army, though she did not commit to releasing them
What’s your gut tell ya?
All of these accusations are being debunked one by one, but this slew of articles and TV appearances show how scared the Oz establishment is.
Oh, it’s you again.
They must be paying you piece rate.
What Is Wall Street?
Wall Street is literally a street located in New York City—at the southern end of Manhattan, to be precise. But figuratively, Wall Street is much more: a synonym for the financial industry and the firms within it. This connotation has its roots in the fact that so many brokerages and investment banks historically have established HQs in and around the street, all the better to be close to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
While being on Wall Street is no longer de rigueur for a financial-industry firm (many, in fact, are located all around the country) or even to trade stocks (which primarily happens online now), the term "Wall Street" still means business—the investment business—and the interests, motivations, and attitudes of its players.

To hell with the scum peddling these lies.
Lotta splitting hairs as to what working on Wall Street means
Way better than Oz 7 10x’s more conservative.
She would also draw some black support & make it hard to trot out the ‘RACIST’ attack line.
She worked for a Wall Street firm, but was stationed in St. Louis instead of New York City.
If she had been stationed in New York City, and her office was in one of the buildings bordering Wall Street, some would probably accuse her of lying, since she didn’t work in the middle of the street near the center line.
This article’s attack is weak and gives signs of something less than objectivity. It apparently has an axe to grind, not truth to speak.
Way better than Oz
Being a reservist or NG is considered “Active Duty For Training”, not “Active Duty”.
“Wall Street” is understood to refer to the financial services sector. Transactions can be made from anywhere in the world. She worked for some top firms.
Cut the crap. She worked for major investment and brokerage firms. That’s good enough for the term. Jeesh!

“What’s your gut tell ya?”
That Kathy Barnette likely would be the best person for the job. But, and this is a big one. She enhanced her past enough where she would lose in the general. Which is heartbreaking.
Maybe that is why Trump picked OZ. Of the two left standing, Oz was the lesser evil.
Candidates wildly exaggerating their records is nothing new. But two weeks every year is hardly an “active duty” record. It’s reserve duty. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Unless she’s lying.
Too bad DemonRAT candidates don’t get such searching investigations into their pasts. Pretty odd, huh?
And Chuck Ross is as scummy as it gets. You’re slipping lower with every thread like this you post.
She’s a whack job.
More fear, of Kathy Barnette, porn.
I’ve heard her name the two companies. No fudge.
