Ariel Robinson’s foster child, Victoria “Tori” Smith, was just days away from being officially adopted by the reality contestant and her husband when the 3-year-old died from blunt force trauma.
Ariel Robinson, a former contestant and winner of Food Network's Worst Cooks in America, was found guilty of homicide by child abuse in the beating death of her 3-year-old foster daughter by a Greenville County, South Carolina jury on Thursday.
It took about an hour-and-a-half for the jury to deliberate and reach their final conviction, according to local outlet WYFF.
The verdict ended a four-day trial in which Ariel and her husband, Jerry "Austin" Robinson, testified. Graphic images of the injuries inflicted on Victoria "Tori" Smith were also shown in court.
"In my 13-14 years as a judge, I've never seen anything like this," Judge Letitia Verdin said during Ariel's sentencing, per The Sun News. "Not even approaching it."
Jerry has not yet been sentenced, but pleaded guilty to his role in the death of little Tori in April, and faces a minimum of 10 to 20 years in prison for homicide by child abuse/aiding and abetting, reports FOXCarolina.
Bill Bouton, an attorney for the Robinsons, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
Ariel and her husband were arrested on Jan. 19 last year in connection to the Jan. 14 death of Smith, who died from blunt force injuries, PEOPLE previously reported.

What a couple of fat stinky losers may they burn in hell
i thought the only folks willing to adopt were good, christian families.
That “woman” and I use that term loosely, is the definition of the devil..take her and hang her from the tallest tree, heck even that is too good for her
THAT local FOSTER SYSTEM needs a complete overhaul.
It’s a government entity. They’ll do a thorough investigation of themselves and find no wrong-doing on their part.
Death penalty. I’ll pull the switch.
Two monsters. They will burn in hell!
The mother who says she was forced to give up her three kids to social services is suing. Last I heard, anyway.
a White girl... hate crime?
The woman’s social media posts should have been a red flag when they handed over these three kids over to these two, but no, they wanted to push an agenda, and post photo ops.
The little girl had lost a lot of weight, her mother said. I saw photos before adoption, and it’s true. Not to mention those
horrible braids pulled tightly at the scalp she was forced to wear.
F***ing animals.
Take these two, remove them from the courtroom and immediately execute them out back next to the dumpster
Hope the mom wins a billion. And the states CPS should pay the mom and pay for incarceration of the two murderers. The CPS budget should be defunded by the amount of the payout.. I would like to know why that girl was taken away from the mother.
Idiocracy and idiot citizens indeed.
Did a look see on the biological mother - lost custody of her 3 kids - apparently some drug abuse. She petioned the court to get her daughter’s body back so she could give her a proper funeral.
As I see it the mother and the foster parents are completely irresponsible parents - and the book should be thrown at them.
I would like to know where the father was all this time as well. I read it was because she smoked marijuana and fell asleep, and one or two of the kids wandered outside. CPS doesn’t give a damn about kids. It’s about government control. Otherwise this little girl wouldn’t have beaten to death.
There was absolutely no where else they could have placed these three children? Placing them with these two?? Unbelievable.
* Be international news.
* Inspire "mostly peaceful" riots and looting.
* Result in new hate crime laws.
* Be made into a TV movie, and an episode of CSI, and be the inspiration for a dozen other storylines on various Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu TV series.

RIP littlest angel…burn in hell to those responsible…
Death penalty
There’s some stuff I just don’t need to see anymore.
Oh My God...
