Steve Schmidt, cofounder of the disgraced Lincoln Project and former presidential campaign manager for the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), admitted Friday that he did not actually vote for McCain in the 2008 election, won by Barack Obama.

As terrible as the John McCain 2008 presidential campaign was, it’s not surprising its own campaign manager didn’t really support it.
It is not surprising McCain lost, when his campaign manager did not want him to win...
It looks like President Trump isn’t the only only Republican who struggled to find trustworthy help.
Steve Schmidt disagreed with McCain on one of the few things that McCain actually got right. Not on any of the tons of crap that McCain got wrong.
Without reading the article, I'm going with Sarah Palin.
Next …people will tell me that the Washington Generals coach is really a fan of the Globetrotters.
That’s ok with me—I didn’t either, and can’t really understand why anyone would. I did write in Palin, on the theory that I was voting for her electors (for the top of the ticket, I wrote in William Howard Taft, who deserves a second term more than McCain deserves a first—and I was voting in Ohio so the choice seemed appropriate).
I wonder if he wrote in Palin?
You know you’re the shit when they create a PAC (Lincoln project) just to try to defeat you LOL
It makes it read easy to keep up with the political hacks and RINOs.
I don’t think that McCain really wanted to win. He didn’t want to be known as the old white guy who prevented the young black guy from being president. McCain called a halt to his campaign so that he could return to DC to manage the financial crisis but did nothing for about 2 weeks. He assigned Nicole Wallace to work with Palin, but she in fact just stabbed her in the back at every turn. Notice how both Schmidt and Wallace are now on MSNBC, that says it all about who they are and were.
Wait, they made ME vote for John McCain (turning my stomach) but HE didn’t vote for him??
Well I hope HE experienced LOTS of pain having DONALD TRUMP shoved down HIS throat for four years! (and may again)
he HATED Palin.
HO LEE SHYTE
this is like the Pope saying he doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ, or Putin publicly claiming he’s not really Russian.
The corruption, spinelessness and stupidity of the GOP is OFF THE CHARTS. WTF do they believe in, besides power and money???!!!
This guy is even a more loathsome creature than McCain.
Or for the POS who hired him.
My days of holding my nose, and voting for the lesser of two evils ended with Mitt Romney, because after the election is over, you’re still stuck with evil.
It’s not out of the question that John McCain didn’t vote for himself either. McCain seemed ready to ‘check his priviledge’ and hold back from untethered aggression in campaigning aganist Obama.
Even he seemed taken in by how ‘historical’ Obama’s win would be. Remember how quickly J. McCain suspended his campaign when the stock markets began to quake? You don’t do that if you expect to win.
McLame wasn't a Republican.
