“They are claiming irreparable harm because we have used our free speech right (to endorse candidates), as the rules allow,” Fuller said. “I am frankly dumbfounded that our own Republican Party would sue us.”
The party has appointed Bryan Zollinger to represent them in the suit, and they plan to fight the complaint.
“I’m not going to apologize because I don’t believe we’ve done anything wrong. I’m prepared to defend us,” Fuller said.
The complaint comes after the state party has chastised the BCRCC twice in recent weeks. In a letter dated May 10, Luna criticized the BCRCC for distributing a flyer titled “Official Republican Party Sample Ballot.” It recommends a list of specific candidates for voters to consider during the Republican primary on May 17.
Luna said the brochures were “intentionally designed to deceive voters into believing that the Idaho Republican Party has endorsed the candidates listed.”
Fuller in a previous interview with EastIdahoNews.com disagreed with that assessment. He says the flyers are from the BCRCC and “no honest individual” could think otherwise.
“It’s got our logo on it, it has our website on it, it has our phone number on it. It repeatedly says ‘Bonneville County Republican Party,’” says Fuller. “Anybody who can read can tell who put this out.”
Luna also sent a letter at the end of March, reprimanding the BCRCC for donating to the following candidates:

The RINOs are losing control of the party and now resort to lawfare to keep it.
Sounds like Bonneville County is supporting actual conservatives instead of GOPe squishes preferred at the state level. I could be wrong, but this is the definite idea that I get in reading the article.
Well then MAGA people need to continue to expand the Precinct Strategy until their numbers are great enough to oust the RINOs. This isn’t the first inner GOP battle. It’s happened in AZ, GA & SC or NC. In one case in AZ, the RINOs all quit. That’s winning right there.
I live in Idaho and will be voting for the real conservative. It is unfortunate that the Idaho GOP is dominated by RINO’s. Typical of RINO’s they will fight like the dickens to maintain their stranglehold on the party but will put up no opposition to real threats to their constituents.
Idaho GOP Chairman Tom Luna keeps dishing out the RINO dung and these folks decided they weren’t buying it.
Bush Leaguers still control most of the state GOP organizations.
They only want Assistant Democrats like Crapo and Risch, who BOTH voted for the Biden Boondoggle Bill.
Good. I know Bonneville is home to one of Idaho’s larger cities (Idaho Falls) but hope every other little county gets into the act as well just to give the finger to the GOPe.
