We are talking about two different issues.
Analyzing the practices adopted by either Bush will not help us understand or resolve the nature of the border problem America currently faces.
It is clear our country is presently experiencing a purposeful invasion that is politically coordinated by several agencies.
Ny post addressed the futility of hoping that getting rid of Biden alone would solve our border problem.
As you point out, history suggests even with Trump in office, our government as it is now populated may not accept a controlled southern border.

The invasion has been ongoing since GHW Bush decided he needed a different electorate.
He knew we would never vote to subsume our country to the UN in a New World Order, so he set about to import people who would.
This has been intentional and bipartisan.
The main purpose of the GOP since 1989 has been to block the citizens from stopping it.
We were only allowed to vote for open borders/amnesty candidates before Trump.

*Lessons learned can be important if applicable, but what is important IMO is that we face today's threat, not a threat that is 30 years old or a threat that may present in the future with all new dimensions.
Have a nice weekend. {;^)
