Putin's 'purge': Russia's top commander Valery Gerasimov 'is suspended' while a clutch of other generals 'have been sacked or arrested' over Ukraine invasion blunders, Kyiv claims

Russia's top commander General Valery Gerasimov has been suspended, a top adviser to the Ukrainian president has claimed, while a clutch of other officers have been sacked or arrested amid a rumoured purge of top brass.

Oleksiy Arestovych, a veteran of military intelligence and one of President Zelensky's inner circle, claimed late Wednesday that Gerasimov - the chief of staff of the Russian army - has been suspended as Putin looks for senior commanders to blame over his blundering invasion of Ukraine.

Arestovych, speaking to dissident Russian lawyer and politician Mark Feygin on YouTube last night, said: 'According to preliminary information, Gerasimov has been de-facto suspended. They are deciding whether to give him time to fix things, or not.'

He added: 'The commander of the first tank army of the western military district Lieutenant General Sergei Kisel has also been arrested and fired after the first tank army was defeated near Kharkiv.'

Two further army commanders have been fired due to heavy battlefield losses, according to information released on a Telegram channel run by the Ukrainian interior ministry, which also claimed the commander of the Black Sea fleet has been sacked and arrested and his vice admiral has been placed under investigation.

Arestovych stressed that his information is 'preliminary', but it comes after Gerasimov failed to appear during Russia's Victory Day parade in Moscow on Monday which he was widely expected to attend. It also comes after he was reportedly wounded by shrapnel in Ukraine when Putin sent him there in order to turn the war around.

Putin's army - once championed as the world's second-best - has been handed a series of humiliating battlefield defeats in just two months of fighting in Ukraine that has seen more than 10,000 troops killed, hundreds of tanks destroyed, its Black Sea flagship

It’s hard to figure the pro war crowd here

Some merely say they hate Russia so bad that’s enough

Some are neocons

Some…many were nevertrumpers

Few know the history past eight years or beyond and view putin and Russia as a communist threat worldwide

Some are shills maybe paid maybe not

We’ve always had that

Empirical knowledge of ground facts is dismissed if outside the globalist narrative

And one other reason….Russia is the aggressor

They all hold the view that if you don’t care then you aren’t sufficiently pro Uke and must love Putin

No in between for these cold warriors

I consider those pushing propaganda and disallowing alternative news a larger threat to us but these folks don’t care

All of a sudden our enemies the media are gold

I fully support Ukraine’s right to defend themselves, I want the 40 billion aid package audited and made public.

It doesn’t matter to them; it fits their anti-Russia narrative - that’s all that matters.

“I fully support Ukraine’s right to defend themselves, I want the 40 billion aid package audited and made public.”

Totally agree on that one!

*******

I love both Ukrainians and Russians, but Russia really should not have invaded UA, and UA should have the right to defend itself, and to be a free people.

*******

On the other hand, Putin and, the DNC/Soros/Clinton types have been fully using longstanding and targeted Corruption & Destabilization campaigns within UA, to control and divey up its resources, launder large scale money, and for political gain.

Zelensky only won election due to Trumps SoS and lawyers investigating and temporarily neutralizing DNC operations and high crimes, which also served to strengthen Kremlin oligarchs and Putin (something else the DNC has been doing directly since Clinton).

I would be surprised if some of the $40 Billion wasn’t being laundered back to the DNC, or even buffering Putin and Iran.

The DNC is a totally leftist and morally corrupt thug operation.

There is no way they aren’t messing around with more taxpayer money here.

Maybe even funding FSB and GRU related NGO’s which are organizationally “assisting” the DNC infill of illegals into the US from all points Central America and ME.

How much someone “wanna” bet —

If you had audited the last election there would have been no need to audit the $40 billion because Trump would never have approved it.

There were plenty of close calls, sailors and marines died, but The Cold War worked against our strongest foes.

Why do you think Putin arrests Pedo’s now? Is he reformed? Did he have his “come to Jesus” moment?

Ex-KGB spy was killed because he claimed Putin was a pedophile

January 21, 2016

Vladimir Putin was furious when one of his former spies, Alexander Litvinenko, publicly called him a pedophile in 2006 — a slur that likely spurred the Russian leader to order the dissident’s assassination in London four months later, a British report concluded on Thursday.

Litvinenko, who had lived under asylum in Britain since 2000, after defecting from the FSB — the KGB’s successor agency — had ignited Putin’s outrage by claiming on a Russian-language Web site that the spy agency once possessed videotapes showing Putin “making sex with some underage boys.”

The gadfly dissident also recounted in his article Putin’s creepy behavior in one incident in 2006. As news cameras rolled in a tourist-crammed public square near the Kremlin, Putin lifted the shirt of a little boy and kissed him on the bare belly, explaining later, “I wanted to cuddle him like a kitten, and it came out in this gesture.”

“Nobody can understand why the Russian president did such a strange thing as kissing the stomach of an unfamiliar small boy,” Litvinenko noted in the article.
