These ridiculous spending packages are the reason for a balanced budget amendment, term limits and line item veto. Members of Congress have to vote to get pork for their districts. They will not support these amendments, so the states and the people will have to step up.
The current system is destroying the nation!
I would say that they should be in quotation marks, but the Conservative Branch of the Party, while old, is not as old as the liberal branch. Don’t let any of the Tafts fool you about what the position was from the beginning. The party in Cincinnati may be as faithful about standing by the original bridge with the original stance as they come.

Wrote mine and said at a minimum it’s time to update your platform page as your concern for federal spending and the national debt just became irrelevant after voting for 40 billion to one of the most corrupt countries in the world over the last 2 decades.

Texas has already had it’s primary. I live in the most republican district in the country, in fact there may not even be a democrat contender. My congressman is conservative, and this issue is not the hill I want to die on. Although I have called his office to let him know this vote was fiscally irresponsible in more ways than one.
I believe I saw our local congresscritter pub voting for this outright steal....I hope we get a solid primary candidate.
