You see, here alcohol accounts for a great many deaths due to DUI, liver disease, fetal alcohol poisonings, and many other things, but that being said I'd rather people keep their liberty and freedom than give it up to a nanny/police state government.
Same here. That said, part of the pro-legalization arguments are that legalization keeps it out of the hands of children, who are not yet competent to make that choice. A liquor store that sells alcohol to minors faces legal consequences. If the store that sold these kids THC-laced treats didn't check ID, they should face the same consequences.
Why is it concerning that the kids are resisting ‘grooming’ and CRT in the classroom? Sounds pretty smart to me.
Are you sure you're posting on the right thread FRiend? I'm not quite making the connection between the black market in THC for kids and CRT/grooming.
Freedom of choice works just fine. It is the freedom from consequences that is the problem. People can engage in public intoxication, vagrancy, disorderly conduct, theft, and a whole host of other anti social crimes and the powers that be ignore it or provide slaps on the wrist. For some there is very little downside to a life of mental impairment.
NM ping.
So they’re always glorifying it and pushing it.. yet they are shocked that kids are getting a hold of it?
Freedom of choice works fine IF the vast majority of people make good moral choices. That was my point. People are so concerned about their Liberty these days, but Liberty is going to fail! Why? Because people cannot practice self control, and they vote in droves for leaders who promise to mitigate the results of bad choices. If people do not restrain their own selfish, evil impulses, government will step in to do the job.
Do I believe in Liberty? Most definitely. But it’s only possible—in the long term—with a moral majority.
